Hotel LIVVO Corralejo Beach

The reason for the one star is the location which is excellent. We have stayed here several times and this is the first time under the Livvo banner. In the past we have found this hotel to be of a really good standard, clean and friendly. The food was always good with plenty of choice. This time we arrived to a room that did not have the usual fresh and clean smell and it most definitely was not clean. The shower had a very good crop of mould growing in the corners and we always showered in our flip flops as it just did not look clean. The bidet had some poop stains left in it presumably from previous occupants of the room which was quite horrifying. There was a layer of thick dust under the microwave, greasy marks on the woodwork and something not nice splashed up the walls. There were loose floor tiles and generally the room looked scruffy. No working TV and no aircon available and the shower was not working properly and the toiletries by way of dispensers were both empty. This leads us to the conclusion that this room was not cleaned on change over to any kind of standard. The breakfast was acceptable and there was show cooking for fresh eggs with plenty of choice. NOW - the evening meal - this was not a buffet meal with show cooking as advertised. There was a limited salad bar and a choice of a couple of desserts but the buffet had been withdrawn to be replaced by a sad menu with two options of one fish and one meat dish and no vegetarian option. When asked about vegetarian choice was told we could have an omelette we left in disgust and ate out as non of these choices appealed after a day of travelling. The following evenings were no better and when we did manage to try a meal one evening it was cold and seemed pre-cooked. We complained to the Jet 2 rep who told us due to complaints the buffet was to be reinstated but this turned out to be untrue as we spoke to the hotel Manager who told us this was not the case. He also told us that evening meals were freshly cooked to order!!!! There were not many takers for the evening meal and now we know why. To sum up after half a dozen lovely visits to this hotel in the past we would NEVER stay here again as standards have dropped considerably and we had the worst holiday experience ever. Once these people have taken your money they do not want to know if there is a problem so please beware.

2nd time back to the Corralejo Beach after a fabulous experience last year. Such a shame this year was a let down purely to the room we were in - 205. I had booked a premium room to get the extra space like last year but the room was very very small and somewhat dated. Only a bed in the bedroom nothing else would fit so no dressing table or drawers. The wardrobe doors were too big and heavy to push so didn't bother with these. The kettle had to sit on the floor (as shown) the flex was so short it wouldn't reach a plug...and to get it on a table it meant rearranging the furniture...I think not. Dark and dated...spent very little time in the room. Rest of the hotel was superb. Staff excellent in the restaurant and pool bar and the lovely chap on the desk (I think is Swedish) super helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Last moan is the pool beds. It says underlined on the welcome information they are not to be reserved. By 8am every bed had a towel on it and no one in site. My advice...no one on it? Remove the towels. Simple. Saves the people sat on wooden chairs the wait for ones to become free. Luckily we're beach fans and headed there. Would definitely go back. The location of the hotel is spot on. The room would need to be 100% better...had it not been for the fact we were only there a few days, I would of asked to move.

Location can't be beat, neither can the hotel. From the moment we booked in until the moment we booked out ( 14 days) our stay in Corralejo Beach was the most perfect we have had in the many years we have stayed in Corralejo. ALL staff members were excellent, conscientious and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Cleanliness external and internal was adhered to rigorously by staff. Rooms were meticulously clean (rooms were undergoing updating) with towels and linen more frequenly changed than 2 days. Plenty of sunbeds available if beds around pool are taken. Have read previous bad reviews. indicating staff were unfriendly and food awful. Don't believe a word, staff were great and everyone very friendly, the breakfasts were very good and catered for every taste from whatever country. All staff worked tirelessly to make everyone's stay enjoyable. There are the few that will enjoy finding criticism in any thing even if it is untrue. 4 adults in our party, we were all of the same opinion hard to better location ( on main street, central to bars, restaurants, shops ferry terminus) and a really good hotel. Well done Livvo, Corralejo Beach Hotel.

We stayed in the apartments last week. Absolutely fabulous location. The place is spotlessly clean. Our apartment was cleaned every day. Lovely pool area. Friendly and polite staff. Pool bar was great for a glass of wine or bubbles in the afternoon. Apartment was perfect for two people and had everything you would need. We did not use the kitchen so can't comment on that. The only little thing was we tried to get a late lunch a couple of days, but were told it was busy for dinner in the evening so could not get us any food. It was not an issue as there are loads of good restaurants nearby and we went out. There is a supermarket round the corner and lots of people seemed to bring in bags of food and eat it by the pool. Thank you very much Hotel Livvo Corralejo - loved our stay with you and will be back next year.

We had an amazing holiday and the hotel was everything that we had expected, the staff and ofcourse the hotel manager Mr Juan Silva were absolutely attentive and professional which made our holiday extra special. We will definately be back. Thank you.

The location is absolutely fantastic.The smaller pool is lovely and quiet and is well looked after by the guy .Everywhere is spotless, staff are fantastic & friendly.The apartment is great and we had room 48 and when we come back would request this as along with 49 had fantastic views.Would highly recommend the Livvo when coming to Corralejo.

Second time visiting this hotel and once again it was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable everything you need is there . The housekeeping girls are always smiling and welcoming towels are changed nearly every day and sheets are changed every second day. Restaurant staff are always smiling and enjoy a chat. The only downside was evening meals it used to be buffet style but now it’s menu and there isn’t much choice breakfast is still buffet and the food and choice is great, when we go back will only go bed and breakfast

I have stayed at this hotel onas many occasions.Firstly this hotel is in a great location ,Situated in the heart of the town ,with shop and bars close by.The bus stop which servesPurto del Rosario and El Cotillo is a 10 minute walk away.The rooms are clean and the food adequate.Not sure about havinf the main meal to order.Apart from that excellent hotel.See you next year.
