We stayed in one of the 2 suites at Chalet Cogolara and could not have hand-designed a better place to stay, or a better service. The room was truly large enough to live in, with guests to stay, and the thought / attention to detail in the design is incredible. The kitchen has everything you need - full operating oven with electric hob, dishwasher, coffee machine, full set of crockery, glasses, cutlery, pans and cooking tools to do all your cooking should you wish. The large bed has 2 mattresses giving a great night’s sleep undisturbed by the person sleeping next to you. There is also a smaller twin room. The en suite and guest bathrooms are excellent with a luxurious shower and a very large bathtub. An absolute first for us was the in room sauna that we used every day after hiking - heats to over 80 degrees and has enough space for 4 people comfortably should you wish. The long (6 metre?) balcony has the most superb views and is a great place to eat the fantastic individually tailored (Covid necessary) breakfast. We were able to choose cereals, meat plates, local cheeses, a range of yoghurts (including milk free and vegan options), honey and jams, pastries, juices and different types of coffee, including soya milk cappuccini. Sofa / study area was very comfortable and the TV is huge. Storage is excellent (3 main wardrobes) and there is a lockable large individual locker (with boot heaters) in the ski / mountain bike / hiking room next to the large underground garage. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, giving their time to sort whatever problem or challenge you have and always with a smile. Other than having an iron / ironing board and a washing machine there is absolutely nothing we could fault with the chalet. Location is perfect for walking / hiking/ ski-in and almost ski-out, and is just a few minutes drive from Corvara, La Villa and Selva for fantastic restaurants. Highly recommended
