Boco Boutique Hotel

We visited Malta for the first time to celebrate my 68th Birthday. We were greeted and given a tour of the hotel, which has many, many lovely features. The roof terrace in particular has great views over Cospicua to the, Grand Harbour, taken with bar, wine and a Hot tub, it's a great place to relax after a day sightseeing. The room was very comfortable with again artwork and nice features. Room linen and bed was made up and cleaned daily which was very much appreciated. A/C was a must as temperature reached 34 some days. The breakfast daily was great, and a sheet handed in gave staff a 'heads up' of what you wanted. Shania and Kulman were great and the owner Tony was on hand with travel advice etc. Overall a fantastic trip for my wife and I, and when we return, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else 🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇲🇹🙂

Quirky, art-deco inspired hotel. Staff warm, inviting and helpful. Peaceful street and quiet environment but only short distance to waterfront and nice array of restaurants and bars. Good selection of reasonably priced drinks available both in the room and rooftop common area. Can't recommend highly enough and will definitely will return.

Loved our stay at the BOCO hotel. Nothing was too much for Tony, he was an amazing host with a great eye for detail. Lovely location on a quiet street but close to the sights and ferry to Valetta. Room was clean and very pretty, and breakfast was an added bonus. Appreciated the attention to detail and the excellent hospitality. Am sure to recommend to all!

Very comfortable room, wonderful balcony. Nice quiet place . Pretty decoration, with nice details. Roof top with a very nice view of Valletta and the Three cities . Good location, near the ferry to Valletta. Staff always willing to help, with good advices.

The hotel is located in a beautiful and historical part of Malta. There is a genuine friendliness which enhanced our holiday experience. Highly recommend. The hotel is clean with a special charm. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Thanks to Tony and his team.

Fabulous! Kunal’s warm welcome the moment we arrived was so appreciated. Giving us lots of local information and a helpful look around Bocco. The housekeeping lady was lovely and friendly too. This is such a cute little hotel. Very peaceful. Very chilled. Great views over the harbour from our room and the roof terrace. Very close to the ferry port for the lovely bus boat to Valletta.

My week in Malta was terrible. Everything went wrong from the beginning and almost on a daily basis - mainly transportation (buses, ferry, car) but BOCO Boutique hotel was on the whole a calm oasis to return to each evening. The highlight was the top floor terrace, the well stocked honesty bar, and the views over Valletta harbour. The terrace also provided a nice communal location to chat with other guests, either at breakfast time, or when in need of a nightcap after a long, hard day. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss, though. And the two single beds in our room were quite narrow, and therefore not that restful. Room 616 also faced the road outside, and there was noise from delivery drivers, and very loud voices quite early in the morning, well before breakfast time. The traditional Maltese breakfast provided was quite delightful. But the ordering system in place was, I found, quite fussy and overcomplicated. You complete a checklist before 11pm to indicate the items required and leave it in the lobby. I can understand that the hotel want to eliminate waste and keep their costs down by asking guests to state exactly what items they required the next morning, but - for example - to have to specify that you might like a drink of water at breakfast did seem a bit uneccessary. It was nice to have freshly squeezed orange juice provided, though.

We enjoyed a week at the hotel whilst exploring Malta. Cospicua is a more residential part of Malta, and the hotel is just a short walk to the ferry to Valletta (€2), or to some nice restaurants along the quay. The six room hotel has a quirky / artsy vibe, and the rooms are a decent size with a large comfortable bed. Several breakfast choices, coupled with friendly and informative conversation with the staff (Shanaia) made for an enjoyable start each day.

Boco is a very well restored hotel; Tony the owner has clearly invested time and money creating a comfortable, unique atmosphere in which to stay - such a change from mainstream hotels. When we locked ourselves out of our room I cannot fault the staff's response; first class!
