Hôtel le Funi de Cossonay

After the opening of the Hotel Le Funi, enthusiasm and commi**ent to this special establishment next to the funicular between Cossonay train station and Ville was palpable. They have given way to routine disinterest. You can enter the hotel from midday using the code that is on the confirmation. There is only one person in the morning for breakfast and paying. The breakfast is mediocre, two mornings the orange juice was so overflowing that it foamed. The hotel is mainly chosen by one-day guests because of its moderate price. The rooms are very different, with and without a view, with a small or larger bathroom. It is not clear why multi-day guests are accommodated in a small ground floor room without a view. You probably don't want to spoil it with the company books. A pity.

We are waiting for the hotel staff that we can check in already in the afternoon because we were invited to a wedding. At first it was a bit complicated, but then there was the possibility that we and others could check in early. That was good service and we were very happy about it. The room was very clean and cosy. The breakfast was served with heart and you could get enough coffee.

We were able to spend one night at the Hotel Le Funi. Nice staff, questions when booking were answered quickly and they were accommodating. Hotel with a great terrace with a wonderful view. Room clean, but located in the basement, comfortable bed. TV installed in an impossible place. The big downside is the extremely meager breakfast, which is not even worthy of a 1 star level. There is no buffet, just a small plate for two people served at the table. 4 small pieces of cheese per person: if you don't like cheese, you're already lost. 1 slice of ham per person, a tiny dollop of jam, 2 pieces of bread. There were no croissants, no plaited bread, no rolls. We were never asked if we wanted anything else. All in all, very disappointing. Because we were still hungry, we went to a café for breakfast afterwards.

Déjà le bâtiment est joli, accoudé au.. Funiculaire Penthalaz-Cossonay. L'accueil est gentil et prévenant et la chambre, dans les combles, m'a surpris par son côté cosy. Fenêtre qui donne sur toute la région et literie au niveau. Le déjeuner est servi à la demande, et pas au buffet, et ça donne aussi un côté convivial au service. Franchement un hôtel qui répond largement aux attentes d'un 3 étoiles. Prix 150fr tout de même.
