Second time here I’ll keep it as brief but informative as I can! We felt like last year standards were higher. Although we still had a lovely holiday, a few things could be improved to make for a better overall holiday experience. There are a lot of pros aswell though so to keep it easy I will do a pro and con list. For context we traveled with our two children aged 3 and 18 months and grandparents. And to clarify I would go back here but maybe not in a hurry! Although I do have a soft spot for CT so maybe I would try somewhere else first. Pro’s *30 mins from the airport *Good location 5 mins to Playa Bastian beach and 15 mins nice walk to main square area *Decent sized rooms *Cleaning staff are hard working and friendly *Fridge, kettle and safe all in room although safe is chargeable *Kids pool is great and was never an issue getting a sun lounger close to that area *They are strict on kids in baby pool wearing armbands or vest- rightly so *Nice a**osphere around the pool not too loud but enough of a buzz *Animation team seemed to work really hard but didn’t pester too much and weren’t constantly on the mic *Kids disco was a hit and they tried to include all the kids plus it wasn’t madly busy which was good. *Hotel wasn’t over crowded, just the right amount of busy *Felt safe and secure at all times Cons *Check in for some reason took soooo long this time- over an hour and we were already exhausted after being delayed. The evening receptionist is lovely but one person on the desk for that many new arrivals late at night is not adequate. *The hotel itself is in need of a bit of refurb I would say, the rooms need to be updated for sure everything is getting a bit old and tatty now *Dining room definitely needs an upgrade. The chairs are on their last legs now and awkward and uncomfortable and the glass tables need to go- it’s not great with children. There was not for us- a good dining experience but having said that, is there ever really when you have two very young kids? I do like that they put all the kids/ families in one area so not to disturb the other guests and also, you feel less under pressure because all the other kids are making mess and being typical kids, so you feel like you’re all in the same boat. I didn’t however, like that it meant the grandparents couldn’t dine with us as the tables were for a max of 4 + 1 highchair. (I’m sure the grandparents didn’t mind this though haha) *Some of the staff are so miserable and rude, quite honestly it dampens the mood. We encountered many restaurant and bar staff who just clearly need to move out of that industry-if they’re that fed up they can’t muster any manners. A couple of receptionists were also rude and miserable too. I will also add that we encountered MANY friendly and polite staff too, so it was genuinely about 50/50 on the politeness and friendliness of staff in our opinion. *The crockery needs replacing in the restaurant- most plates and bowls are chipped (and ho

The Good: location The Bad: the pictures are a misconception, of the hotel and are not a current representation of it. The hotel is worn, dated, tired and in parts broken. I appreciate the hotel is open 365 days a year, but a refurbishment is in need in my opinion. Rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis and towels are only changed every 3 days. A beach towel from the hotel will cost you €20’s upfront with €10’s of this being a refundable deposit on return. The Ugly: dirty glasses, going through multiple glasses to find a semi clean glass or plastic cup. The ‘restaurant’ didn’t really eat much in here to be fair but what I did see was your typical all inclusive food. Dirty broken seats and chipped glass table tops are not ideal to be fair. It’s a shame if this hotel was refurbished to a good standard, it would make it an ideal hotel due to the location, although don’t get misconceived sea views as shown in the pictures are only available by a selected number of rooms. Overall would not recommend and would not return, to this hotel, based on the above

Hotel does not get cleaned properly and bugs everywhere. Beds were covered in ants, possibly bed bugs tho they were tiny. Food was basic and dishes not cleaned properly either. Pool area was ok but cockroaches everywhere. Towels changed every 3 days 😩 1 star.

Bluebay Lanzarote does what it says on the tin 3* Spanish all inclusive hotel.Hotel is a bit tired around the edges but overall good.Staf are friendly and hard working the food in restaurant is good the odd dish a bit cold but overall good , people who complain must have a chef cooking for them at home.Outside area again a bit tired but always sunbeds free.Snack bar is good all the usual chips, burgers, hot dogs etc.The price we paid for 6 nights is exactly what I would expect if you want four star pay for 4 star don't pay for ,a 3 * hotel then expect silver service.Jet2 are good here there is the option on last day to check in your bags with them at hotel great bonus . Again nice wee 3 * Spanish hotel

We stayed here for 9 days. It was a lovely setting with beautiful gardens really the gardens were the best. When we arrived the blond woman on reception was very hostile I don’t know her name but I thought she was very rude. She said about the towels were only changed every three days I was shocked and said but what if they are wet and mucky. She abruptly replied no you have to make them last and if you leave them on the floor they will just be hanged up again. Very rude woman. Our room was ok but a bit tired needed a paint job and the sofa bed well I would not liked to have slept on it. Our bed in bedroom were very hard i ached all week we had to change rooms halfway as cockroaches drove us mad despite spraying the room daily. The second room we had also had a couple but that was all. Food was good for a three star. But unfortunately always cold. We mostly ate salads and bread and deserts due to me being very fussy. Drinks were very good but not the reusable glasses as they were just rinsed in water not cleaned properly. All in all a very nice holiday hired a car and saw some nice places. Been to lanzarote many times but I probers wouldn’t choose this hotel again mainly due to cockroaches and the hostile receptionist.

We have just came back from bluebay hotel lanzarote with a family of 10 of us with adults and children. After reading the reviews people left on TripAdvisor we were apprehensive as to what we had booked. But first impressions were great and the staff were all friendly and welcoming Yes the pool was freezing and could possibly have needed a water heater to make it a bit warmer for people but this did not put our group off going in. Once you were in it was fine. The animation team were great with the kids and played adults and kids games throughout the day with mini disco at 8:30pm and entertainment at 9.30. The food was ok, there is always something you can find to eat, even for picky eaters. The rooms are a bit outdated but are comfortable enough. We did have a few ants in the main room but there was a spray underneath the sink to use. It was just a short walk to the beach and shops Overall we thought it was good value for money and would definitely return.

I’m currently staying at BlueBay Lanzarote and it’s the worst hotel I’ve ever had the displeasure of holidaying at. Day 3 of a weeks stay here and if you like being bitten to shreds as you sleep by ants infesting not only your bed but your bedside furniture, countertops, luggage and any other crevice of the hotel then by all means book a stay here. Iratxe Who works reception has the hospitality of dying fish and couldn’t have done less to accommodate us when not only is our room crawling with what they say is ants - but cockroaches roam the entire hotel at their free will which she claimed herself she doesn’t have and has never seen. she eventually offered us another room which she said would have no bugs, upon viewing said room not only did it have the same issue, it was worst. - she put her hands on one of the party which to be quite frank in any which way is inappropriate in the capacity she works in and if this is the hospitality they pride themselves in I would suggest booking elsewhere. We have had our room in there words ‘fumigated’ (which is just a couple sprays of ant spray) multiple times through today and only because we called jet2 multiple times to try and resolve said issues. No positive note to add considering this has bought down the ENTIRE morale of our holiday which was supposed to be a week of relaxing. but basically being told to ‘put up and shut up’ being laughed at by staff and having our concerns ignored will never bring back the customers you have, regardless of how nice it looks when you book it. (Trip advisor currently won’t allow me to attach photos or videos however the hotel wasn’t interested in seeing these as said lady said she didn’t disbelieve me - implying this is a regular occurrence. I however will be editing my review at the earliest convenience to include these.)

I’m going to be completely honest about my time and overall stay in this hotel, I was here for a week Tuesday - Tuesday and first and foremost I will start off on a positive note, The beach closest to the hotel is great playa bastian I went here most days and was really good, The staff in hotel such as waiters in the restaurant are extremely rude i had overheard several complaints from guests and basically were told if you don’t like it then they can go elsewhere, Cleaners are absolutely brutal and that is my only word for them, they leave you no towels the room doesn’t get cleaned to a standard what so ever i could do a better job myself, To be fair reception staff were quite nice but it was depending on who was working however I would say there is one lovely guy who works at reception an older gentleman so if you see this I want to say thank you there was several times I came back to the hotel late at night shall I say a little too drink and and he was very pleasant and asked me if I was okay and knew were I was going, Most important thing to everyone reading this GET A ROOM ON UPSTAIRS LEVELS AS DOWNSTAIRS IS COVERED IN CATS I’m not a cat fan at all so it would have been my worst nigh**are if I was on the bottom floor, Food is same each night it doesn’t change at all so please bear in mind it is okay for a few days but if you like to eat different dishes then eating in the hotel each night won’t be great for you as the food is the same chicken nuggets, pizza, hamburgers,

I have been at this hotel for 3 years running. I must admit the rooms need a revamp, but my family and I only sleep dress and shower in the room. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were great 👍 my partner is a fussy eater , and my daughter, but they were still satisfied. Especially the snack bar. The selection of alcohol and soft drinks was great, too. Now the staff!! They are the most fantastic lovely staff. I will try to praise as many as I can by name LOLA , ANA, older ALBERTO, and younger ALBERTO 😂 , CARLOS, and all the other bar and restaurant staff. Sorry I missed the other staff as they were all very hard working. Animation team should out to CAROLINE and the rest of the Animation team they were fantastic 👏 👏👏👏 I have always had a room in block C . My advice is don't take food and sweet drinks into your room as it will attract ants. This year, we had no beastie 👍
