Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa & Golf Resort

Very nice hotel, everything was good, my only complain is that there was air conditioning in the restaurant and I couldn't stop sneezing, the lady turned it off when I was leaving but the rest was amazing. The room clean and spacious, the staff very nice and friendly, the breakfast was good just the eggs a bit dry. I have given them 5 stars because the water in the swimming pool wasn't cold like lots of Irish hotels and at night wasn't noisy so those 2 things are really important when I stay in a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I had a fabulous experience in the hotel. The lady at the reception called Sandra was amazing. She looked after us so well from start to finish from booking the hotel to the day we left. She made us feel very welcome anything we asked she helped us with. It’s amazing how people can make your holiday. I also had a massage recommend by Sandra and it was amazing highly recommended this hotel. Hope to return again. Lorraine Reilly

Hi there, I've just come back from a night at your hotel with 13 others after celebrating our sister’s 50th birthday. I just want to say we had an absolutely great time. Everything was super - the food, the rooms, the spa, the service and the staff. Special shout out to Kathy and Aislinn who looked after us for the afternoon tea. They were brilliant, Kathy even offering to act as photographer for us. They are a credit to your hotel. 1 look forward to organising another getaway in the Future Kind regards Libera

Wow, Wow, Wow. Looking for that couples getaway, then MW is the place to go. This hotel has everything, from amazing rooms, leisure centre to top notch Spa treatments, not forgetting the excellent restaurant. The staff are really what sets this hotel apart, so friendly, so accommodating is second to none. The food in the restaurant was amazing and what really stood out for me was all items on menu could be prepared Gluten Free. We had a great time and will certainly be back.

I went for a wedding and stayed in a house. The houses are nice and spacious although the TV and heating are a bit complicated, the instructions don’t actually match the controls that are in the house. The TV reception also went in and out, when we spoke to other guests in houses and rooms they said they had the same problem. All around the food service is poor. The wait staff are often no where to be seen and take a while to complete requests. The wedding dinner had atrocious service. The wait staff would run out of wine or not have enough plates for an entire dinner and leave them never come back. At one point half my table didn’t receive a course until after they started taking away plates because the waiter never came back and none of them came over when we tried to catch their attention. It also took much too long to bring out the next courses. We waited 45 mins for the sorbet to come out. There seemed to be no order to how the wait staff was operating and no one in charge of making sure everything went smoothly. For tea and coffee all the milk that was put out was chunky and obviously expired and it took half an hour to get new milk. It also took half an hour to get the gravy and sauce for the main dishes. The final straw was when the groom’s father ordered a round for a toast and no one had their drinks by the time he was giving the toast. The wait staff didn’t stop him or ask him to wait until they told him everyone had their drinks. It wasn’t a big wedding so there’s no excuse to not be able to serve everyone in a timely manner. The staff obviously need better training to handle functions and events seeing as they advertise as an event venue.

Fantastic stay in Mount Wolseley, super staff, great value, great food, and a great golf course in excellent condition, definitely recommend it.

Having just spent 4 nights at Mount wolseley with 5 fellow golfers we would highly recommend this hotel what sets this hotel apart from others is there wonderful staff who are all so friendly from Sinead and Sandra on reception who were so welcoming Stacey and Lorna in the Aaron bar and Kathy in the breakfast bar thank you for making our stay memorable the golf course is highly recommended we'll be back

Lovely hotel, Jordan on front desk was brilliant. There are new rooms and old rooms (make sure you get a new room there is no comparison). Afternoon tea was a big let down, don’t waste your money. Staff in here drop and go never to be seen again. The spa was lovely. The hotel should think about getting a few bikes in so guests can cycle around estate.
