Displeasing things in no particular order:
-getting a room in a different building than the main hotel so you have to walk out in the rain to get to the services
-cold shower because there’s no hot water
-Wifi disappearing at 1am
-no flexibility for a late checkout
-morning wake up call that wasn’t requested

The room and facilities were very nice and clean and the service was good.
During the night at around 2 pm young adults were racing around the parking and screaming and yelling for over an hour disturbing our sleep. Night person said he didn't hear anything.

This was a great place to stay for our couple days in the area, Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area,
Room was spacious but the carpets did have some stains, The free breakfast buffet was great’

The hotel does not show up properly on maps or google and signage is minimal. Difficult to get to. Elevator was not working. Staff were very nice and great breakfast included.

Our 2 night stay was pleasant, the rooms were very well kept, beds and pillows were excellent. Staff was good and we enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. It was above average for what they offered.
The layout of the hotel was like navigating a maze though. The elevator was out of service, not a big deal but it meant figuring your way around staircases and doorways to get to your rooms, trust me, it was interesting. All in all? Good stay

When checking in we explained that my boyfriend was in town for major surgery at the Comox Hospital and requested a room close to the elevator. We were given a room on the ground floor that was easily accessible. We were pleased with this until the next day; the room was at the back across the alley from a construction site. It was noisy all day and not at all restful.
The day of the operation I arrived back at the hotel at 8:30 in the evening and could not find a parking spot. I pulled into the check-in zone and went to speak to the desk clerk. I was told that there was a tournament in progress and they took up all the parking but it would be done around 9:30. I was offered no alternative (or apology). When I asked for an alternative, the desk clerk asked if I had checked the side for parking; there was no parking at the side. I felt like I was just expected to come back in a hour. I was exhausted and extremely disappointed with this situation.

Parking is tight but there is underground available. Elevator out of service in main building but staff easily switched me over to the new wing. Best Western is a consistent brand, bed, bedding, room size, decor and amenities updated and comfortable. Bathroom had plenty of counter space and my only criticism was the positioning of the bathroom door and the toilet/toilet paper roll holder - just a bit awkward. Breakfast had great choices of hot & cold, juice, fruit, pastries, etc. don’t forget to tip!
