Hopefully I will never have to visit this hotel again. The room was clean but very outdated. There was no towels in the bathroom. They give you one towel when you check in and that's it. I asked for a dry towel and the person by the front desk said no. The door to the room was not locking. The television did not work. I could not wait to check out.

When booking my trip, I almost missed out on this gem because it wasn't listed on Expedia's website. I am so thankful I found out about Carolina Point Resort. It was the perfect getaway place to call home for a few days on our visit to Tobago. I stayed in apartment 6 and it was more spacious than I was expecting. It had a very functional kitchen space with an oven/stove, fridge and lots of kitchen wares to use. The bed was so comfy, and the linens were all so clean. I value cleanliness and this room did not disappoint. Showers, sinks and towels were all well maintained. I especially loved the balcony that led to the terrace area. You definitely had privacy and felt safe staying here. The best part about this apartment styled hotel is the easy walking access to the beaches and stores. It would take about 10-15 minutes to walk to the airport, 5 minutes to Swallow's Beach, maybe 7 minutes to Store Boy and 5 minutes to the main strip. It's close enough to the action of the town but still tucked away that you are not disturbed at night by party/road noise. The owner is so pleasant and reinforced how safe you will be staying there. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting Tobago.

I had a wonderful stay at Surfside Hotel, a charming family-run business in the heart of Crown Point, Tobago. The location is unbeatable—just minutes from the airport and within walking distance of Store Bay, Pigeon Point, and Swallows Beach, making it the perfect spot for beach lovers and explorers alike. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout my stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with a kitchen, allowing for the convenience of home-cooked meals. I found this especially useful for preparing breakfast, which helped me save on dining costs while still enjoying Tobago’s amazing local restaurants for dinner. For budget travelers, families, or business visitors, this hotel is a fantastic choice. It offers great value for money, and while I didn’t use the two onsite pools, I saw plenty of families making the most of them. Overall, Surfside Hotel provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Tobago! Highly recommend!

My stay at Carolina was exactly what my husband and I needed. Being there felt like we were nestled in nature, surrounded by beautiful trees, plants and flowers. I absolutely love the fact that when you are on the property you feel as if you are in another world and away from it all, even though it is within short walking distance to a central and busy area (all amenities conveniently located, including the beach). I also enjoyed the quiet and privacy offered by the space. Our apartment was tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable and accommodating. I really appreciated the beautiful breeze that was in an abundant supply when the windows were open. Alec, the owner was absolutely wonderful and made us feel welcomed and catered to, especially as our visit was last minute. Carolina Point Resort is definitely a unique gem and we intend to return and share this gem with others.

We arrived late evening having lost out on a previous booking due to a miscommunication. We had a 1 year old so we were keen to get a place sorted ASAP. Alex was extremely accommodating ensuring we were shown all options available to suit our needs. We settled on a two bedroom apartment for 3 adults and a baby. The rooms were clean and the apartment cosy with all the necessary amenities. The location was great with the beach less than 5 mins away and all shops, restaurants and bars on the strip less than 5mins in the opposite direction. I would definitely recommend Carolina Point Resort & look forward to staying again on any future trips to Tobago.

Although our stay here was short, it was very memorable! The owner was hospitable, checked on us through WhatsApp, recommended restaurants and activities. We arrived at 7am, and he even let us check in 7 hours earlier after earlier agreeing to allow us to do do a bag drop. He even drove us to the airport for our return flight when there was miscommunication with the taxi driver. He even let us play with his Rottweiler, Zeus. The shared yard is beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable and well equipped. It is also well located and value for your budget.

Well equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean. Not for those who want an on-site restaurant or concierge. Perfect for those with a knowledge of the area. Car recommended unless you plan to spend all your time in Crown Point. Good for extended vacation with laundry facilities on site. Lots of restaurants close by. Missing from the room is any kind of guide to Tobago. I would also like to see a shower mat to cover slippery tiles in the shower. Bring your own facecloth. Super comfortable bedding. Excellent value.

Carolina Point lived up to all my expectations. Ideal for families providing safe, clean, comfortable, quiet furnished rooms or apartments located 1 minute walk from Swallows beach with access to washing facilities.
