Absolutely loved the location and will definitely return. The service and attention to detail from the reception team especially is 10/10.
Certain areas of the hotel need refurbishing - even if just a lick of paint for now as they aren't in line with the rest of the hotel.
The room was small but practical and unfortunately didn't have the best of views but that's not an issue. I felt comfortable and safe during my stay. Had a minor issue with the air con unit which is very dated and didn't match the aesthetic of a modern and refurbished room which looks very appealing.
Overall, would be very happy to visit again especially during the summer and try out their dinner menu.
The Best Western Plus London Croydon Aerodrome is an incredibly convenient location. It has really easy access to central London which is just 12 miles away and only 15 minutes by train from East Croydon Station. From the hotel to the station is a mere 15 minutes drive. We can order you a taxi or you can take the local 119 bus service which stops right outside the hotel.
The hotel provides great value, premium accommodation just outside London for both business travelers to the south-east of England or families looking to be thrilled at Chessington World of Adventures or Thorpe Park. Of course, all of London’s top attractions such as Buckingham Palace and the London Eye are just a short distance away and that’s why our location is ideal for short breaks in the capital.

On arrival there was a new girl on Reception (black girl) and she told me that the room I had reserved was room only and I knew I had booked a b&b rate. Although she was very pleasant she said she was new and needed to check with a more experienced receptionist. A white lady came into the reception area and was telling me that the new girl didn't know how to check was was included in the room rate and started showing her - how to check for this while I was there. This white lady (had a foreign accent) was quite abrupt to me and I thought to myself, maybe if you trained the new girl better, she would be able to check these details. The new girl was apologizing, I said to her its not your fault, you need to get trained better in your role. She was a beautiful young girl and very friendly and tried to help as much as she could. The kettle in my room was not working but was replaced quite quickly. I went to get some milk from the trolley and the Housekeeper (Spanish) screamed at me - your are not allowed to touch the trollies and if you need anything, please contact Reception, I said shall I leave it back then and she said - No its OK!. Had to advice Reception if one, needed their room cleaned. Breakfast was nice except the mushrooms they were too hard and difficult to eat. Staff tend to move trollies and talk to each other when guests are around and they use the guest lift as a service lift. They got in the way at times when I was trying to get out of the hotel, they apologized for getting in my way. Majority of staff were friendly, rooms need updating. On my last day, I was getting some tea at breakfast time in the dining area and when I returned a staff member (Small Indian lady) was clearing away my food and I had only went to get a cup of tea and had not finished my breakfast, I told her I was still having my breakfast. I was annoyed as my room card was still on the table but she never noticed this and was clearing it away. They spray and clean empty tables very close to you as you eat your breakfast which is frustrating as the smell of the cleaning liquid is quite strong, It was my first time staying at this hotel, however in the past I have had coffee/tea there but never stayed before. I would rate is as a 3 star Hotel and not a 4 star Hotel.

Fantastic place to stay if looking for budget option solo or as a couple in London. Very comfortable, modern, clean rooms. Very good WiFi, excellent staff (Vineet and Deep extremely helpful lovely and accommodating). I don’t usually stay in Ibis hotels but this one is like no other ibis hotel I’ve stayed at. From the laid back informal reception area to the contemporary rooms this was a good overnight stay. I appreciated the welcome cookies. The room was spacious but clearly designed for short stays in regards to storage space. There’s USB ports by the bedside. The bathroom has a shower, no bath and good to see the body soap and shampoo in dispensers rather than individual plastic bottles. The water though was only luke warm. The Wi-Fi signal was excellent. Location is excellent in the centre of town and just a few minutes walk to the station. The restaurant menu was limited but adequate for most tastes. My only complaint was the pulsing noise of the bathroom extractor fan which is independent of the air conditioning in the room and not able to switch off.

Just leaving Holiday Inn Sutton and have had a truly wonderful stay. This hotel was used as a base for exploring London and surrounding areas and can't recommend highly enough. Ok we're not talking 5 star luxury, but if you're looking for that common sense should tell you to book elsewhere. However if you're looking for CLEAN (so important) and comfort with EXCELLENT staff then this will be for you! Staff are honestly some of the best I've encountered (even in 5 star hotels) and I don't say that lightly. Restaurant, front desk, housekeeping, health club all an absolute credit to the hotel and brand. Thank you. Nothing was to much trouble and you made our stay really great. It's the morning and evening acknowledements and friendly vibe and all the little touches that really do go a long way. We'll be back and would highly recommend this hotel and if there's a way to reward staff on duty 27th-29th August 2022 please do :)

JJune R NicolsonHad booked to stay here for a wedding at the Hilton. We had booked two rooms, but one wasn't ready on arrival and staff at front desk didn't seem very apologetic but just stated it as a matter of fact. We were on a tight schedule for the wedding and this didn't help with the stress. Room wasn't adequately equipped with enough towels or duvet for number of people staying. Breakfast staff were attentive though.
Arrived today at the hotel at 1500 to check in having booked disabled room plus one other almost three months ago. The receptionist apologised to me and said lift wasn’t working, but an engineer was currently at Rotherhithr and would be there in two hours. As my 89 yo mother uses a wheelchair and we had travelled five hours to get there that was a bit irksome, but I arranged for us to do something else until lift was ready. The said they would call when it was working. At 1800 I had heard nothing so called and was told engineer had four hours to attend and would be there soon. 1900 called again, no engineer and Sharon reiterated the four hour slot and there wasn’t anything she could do. I told her that my my mother wanted her room as she was very tired and she made some calls. She reiterated the four hour rule, I reminded her that at had arrived at the hotel at 1430 and it wasn’t working then either. She chose to be one defensive mentioning I didn’t check in until 1500. That is correct but I was with family there earlier and it had already failed before I checked in. I asked her to make alternative arrangements for us for the night and she said she would try. What that actually transpired was she said there was no hotel nearby with rooms and she couldn’t help and I could have a refund. Hardly helpful, and she didn’t seem to realise the gravity of an 89 year old lady needing a lift to get to a pre booked room and that a refund was not the answer, but good customer service was needed. I asked her to contact her management to arrange something. She tried but to no avail. I called advise her that within ten minutes I had found hotels nearby (and trust me at this point I’m stressed and getting irritated that she seemingly had no intention of helping. She couldn’t have tried hard as the local premier inn had availability (I told her first it was a travelodge but she chose to patronize me that there wasn’t one on the Purley way - and anyway the room was a available. Thatnlast statement is correct but without throwing Ann elderly lady over my shoulders it was inaccessible. I went to the hotel alone to retrieve bags dropped earlier and still she argued that the room was available and that the lift engineer was there! The lift still didn’t work and rather than argue with this woman kept repeating she could do NOTHING And that the room was available I chose instead to deal with another member of staff - retrieved bags to go and collect my mother and stay elsewhere. We will return tomorrow for the remainder of the stay and I will raise in person with the general manager. My family is spending around £1000 at this place for a special event this weekend. Some empathy would have been in order, and there is the issue of breach of contract i intend to raise with the general manager on this occasion. I appreciate things do go wrong but it seems there is no plan to deal with an event such as this. I feel the woman was possibly willi
GGuest UserI went here for a few nights and I literally had no issues with the hotel, all the workers were really nice, if I needed my room cleaned then it was done so for me, it was a good experience especially compared to some of the higher known hotels round that area. OYO Flexistay Tulsi Aparthotel these guys preformed very well. Helped me with my luggage. Was good stuff. I would highly recommend them.
GGuest Userthe hotel was next to the Thornton heath station and pizza restaurant( my favourite ), which is a good location only 15 min to Victoria station by train. The staff are very professional and kind. They treat me as a friend. I tried it I recommend it 👍
