Wyndham Grand Vedana Ninh Binh Resort Reviews

The hot spring bath service was terrible. It was unsanitary and dirty, yet they charged guests 200k VND per session. There were also too many mosquitoes. The cleaning staff didn't empty the trash in the old room. When I arrived, I was shocked to find a full trash can even though I hadn't used anything yet. Aside from the very enthusiastic front desk staff, the employees in other departments were all unsatisfactory.

firstly, about reception / front desk - awesome people and very supportive. Room smells bad: On the first day, the room had a strong unpleasant smell, and the bathroom/toilet had an even worse odour. I immediately requested housekeeping to clean the room. Shower / shampoo gel The bathroom amenities were of very poor quality. The shower gel was practically unusable, and the shampoo appeared to be very old stock. It had an unpleasant smell, produced almost no foam, and left me regretting using it. Room tidiness: we noticed few insects, ants and cockroaches. As we checked with other guests from same block, it’s same in their rooms also Almost same breakfast menu throughout the 3days Swimming pool - The swimming pool water did not look clean or properly maintained. It appeared stagnant rather than well-circulated, giving the impression that the water had not been refreshed. Location: Hotel / resort is too far from city, must rely on front desk for taxi booking. And some taxi drivers are greedy! We thought Whydham is great brand and booked this hotel, we regret it overall.

The facilities are old and run-down, not terrible, and acceptable, but definitely not worthy of a five-star rating. The food selection was limited, and the dishes seemed old; I ended up with a stomach ache. Most of the dinner menu items weren't available. The indoor pool was advertised in the photos, but when we arrived, they charged an extra 200k per adult. What's really annoying is that the promotional pictures showed it, but the advertisement didn't clearly state that it wasn't included, leading us to believe all services were covered by the booking fee. Arriving and then being charged extra felt like a total scam. A terrible experience, and the outdoor pool didn't look clean either.

Perfect if having few days of relax and rest thanks to due good amenities which are proposed by the structure. Slightly difficult to reach, so is not the location as basecamp, but is perfect to have a rest and stay within the resort.

I like the atmosphere, breakfast was so nice! My room has beautiful view! The lady at the reception is very nice and helpful. Only thing I personally don’t like is the smell in the room.

Great resort, we were here a bit out of season, so not too many guests except during the weekend. If you are looking for something quiet, in the middle of beautiful nature, then this is the place to go. We liked the architecture very much. And yes, the resort is not the newest, and still not finished. Anyway, it gets our recommendation. If you are into night life, bars and restaurants and lots of tourists, then avoid this place :)

Service was decent. We even had a bonfire in the evening.

Outdated, and the hot spring isn't a real one.

It was a good experience I had during my stay - friendly, hospitable and helpful.

The breakfast wasn't very good, and you have to pay extra for each session at the hot springs.

Good, far from Ninh Binh City

Ongoing construction right next to the bungalows. The noise is unbearable-construction starts banging at 7 AM, followed by loud team-building speakers during the day, making it impossible to rest. Strongly advise anyone planning to stay here to double-check with the resort if the construction is completely finished before booking, to avoid wasting your money and ruining your trip.
