Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection

Nestled along the Thu Bon River, this hotel perfectly blends French colonial luxury with modern sophistication. It offers a tranquil escape while being incredibly convenient: just across the bridge lies the bustling Hoi An Ancient Town, providing both peaceful relaxation and excellent accessibility.

The room was nice, with fairly new facilities. The location was great, a quiet spot that's still central, and just across the bridge from the ancient town. Breakfast was a bit mediocre; for a five-star hotel at this price point, especially in Vietnam, I'd expect something better to meet its standards. The staff were all quite friendly and proactive in asking if I needed any help. Borrowing the hotel's bicycles to explore the ancient town was a nice experience. The Deluxe River View room on the 3rd floor was much quieter than the river view rooms on the first floor, where you could hear luggage being wheeled in and out. Overall, it was pretty good.

The air conditioning in the first room we were assigned wasn't working well, but they kindly moved us to another room of the same type. It was a bit of a hassle to repack and move our luggage, but their quick response meant we could enjoy a cool room, and we even received drink coupons. The facilities are generally clean, and the staff are very friendly. The river view from the pool was also excellent.

We stayed at Moire Hoi An for a few days and were very happy with our choice. The hotel is intimate, cozy, and has a great atmosphere. Its main advantage is the location. It's an easy walk to the Old Town, yet the hotel itself is set slightly away from the tourist hustle and bustle, making it much more peaceful here. The rooms are new, clean, well-designed, and have quality finishes. We had no complaints regarding the room condition or housekeeping. The grounds are small but well-maintained, and the pool is clean and pleasant. We especially want to highlight the staff. All employees were very friendly, responsive, and yet unobtrusive. Any issues were resolved quickly, whether it was organizing a boat trip, storing luggage after check-out, or allowing us to shower and change before our evening flight. Breakfast seemed fairly standard. The selection was a bit smaller than at large resort hotels, but generally consistent with what we've encountered in Vietnam. One thing future guests should be aware of: during our stay, there was noise from renovation work in the morning, starting around 9–10 AM. The hotel informed us that the work was being carried out outside its premises, but for those who like to sleep in or expect absolute quiet in the morning, this might be important information. Overall, for a few days in Hoi An, this is an excellent option: a beautiful, comfortable, and very well-located hotel.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk across the bridge to the town center. Our room offered distant views of the old city across the river, and the air conditioning was excellent – perfect for a nap on a hot afternoon. Waking up to the sunset and the view of the ancient city right outside our window was incredibly relaxing. The hotel also offers a paid boat tour service, a one-hour cruise along the river, and the staff even help you take photos. It wasn't crowded, making for a truly wonderful experience.

I expected more from an IHG property, but I was severely disappointed. First, when I checked in at 8 PM, the front desk told me my room would take another 5-10 minutes to prepare, which was quite frustrating. Once I got to the room, I noticed the small drawer holding the toothbrushes wasn't even closed, making me wonder if it was hastily cleaned. Second, only the lobby looked up to par with the hotel's supposed standard. The elevators had no air conditioning, and the public restrooms felt like they needed better maintenance. The few bright spots were the nice view from the breakfast restaurant and the staff helping me purchase train tickets.
