I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had after been to many places in Vietnam for over a month.
I booked this hotel mainly because it advertised a balcony with a beach view. That was very misleading. The balcony was extremely small, and the “beach view” was almost completely blocked by a new building under construction right in front of the hotel.
The biggest issue was the construction work. It was incredibly loud from early in the morning, and the hotel never informed us before or during check-in that there was ongoing construction. We paid for a relaxing beachfront stay and got constant drilling and construction noise instead.
The staff experience was inconsistent. There were only three staff members, and only one young male staff member was genuinely kind, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. He was the only reason some of our problems were resolved.
After checking in, I rented a motorbike through the hotel. The bike was in terrible condition and clearly not maintained properly. The tyres had very low pressure, and I almost crashed twice because of it. Thankfully, I spoke to the helpful male staff member, and we not getting charged from that.
We also requested an iron and ironing board. The iron we received was broken and unusable. It’s not the biggest issue by itself, but for the price we paid, basic amenities like this should work properly.
What made it worse was that we were disturbed while sleeping because the hotel staff messaged and callings me asking me to return the iron. We had already returned it earlier after discovering it wasn’t working. This happened because the staff failed to communicate with each other.
During checkout, we left the room at 12:30 PM which only late for 30 minutes and its not a big deal for most hotels I’ve stayed in Vietnam (never a single time this happened to me in Vietnam) then we were charged 340,000 VND for a late checkout. No one informed us in advance that there would be a late checkout fee, so it felt like we were being scammed.
The worst part happened at the payment counter. A female staff member (photo included) tried to scam us by returning 60,000 VND less in change. We noticed the missing money and had to ask for it. If we hadn’t checked carefully, we would have lost it.
Overall, this hotel was disappointing from start to finish: misleading advertising, unbearable construction noise, poorly maintained rental bikes, broken facilities, poor communication, unexpected charges, and an attempt to short-change guests. I would not recommend staying here.
