Sheraton Langfang Chaobai River Hotel

This Sheraton absolutely does not meet five-star service standards!!!! Environment: The worst Sheraton ever, hands down. The room was 28 degrees Celsius (82 Fahrenheit), but the air conditioning wasn't working. They said the building's central AC couldn't support cooling right now. The front desk's solution was to give me a portable fan, which didn't really help much, leaving me feeling sticky from the heat! I mean, seriously? Even a budget hotel wouldn't be this bad. Service: Even more ridiculous. They don't allow delivery food upstairs, which is fine, but the robot also couldn't deliver it. They said if I wanted it delivered to my room, I'd have to wait until they had time, or if things were really dire, maybe they'd send the robot... I was utterly speechless! So bizarre. And there was one thin woman at the front desk who was particularly unhelpful. In the morning, I told her my food delivery had arrived, but I couldn't see without my glasses and asked if they could send the robot up. She just snapped, 'Isn't it right next to you?' It was practically a direct 'we don't want to send it, get it yourself.' No matter what you asked her, she was incredibly rude. Honestly, if you don't want to work, just go home; don't come here and annoy people! Being assigned to her at the front desk just put me in a bad mood. In short, this hotel doesn't have an ounce of five-star quality! Do NOT come here! If you stay, you'll regret it silently! For this price, what kind of hotel can't you find in a major city? It's truly infuriating. If you really need to stay in Dachang, find a chain hotel in Sanhe, like Atour or All Seasons, there's no need to suffer this kind of indignity here! I'm so angry! I've already sent a complaint email to Marriott headquarters; the more I think about it, the angrier I get!

The room environment was exceptionally good, very quiet, and the service was excellent. The room temperature was just right, and the bed was incredibly soft. The natural light was also fantastic. It's a really great choice.

Garbage says there's a mat but I didn't see one. The kettle button was broken, and the light switch was unresponsive. The bathtub didn't have disposable liners (I wiped it with toilet paper and it was quite dirty). The showerhead was loose; I had to adjust its direction four times during one shower.

Our corner room had floor-to-ceiling windows on one side, which meant it wasn't very well insulated. They brought us a portable fan, but the room was still quite hot. The indoor kids' play area was too small; it got crowded and hard to play in with just a few children. Also, we had pre-paid for two nights, but the front desk only activated our key card for one day. We had to go back to reception to get it updated before we could get into our room on the second day.

The room was clean and tidy, and the service was warm and thoughtful. All our requests were met, and we were very satisfied with their service.

The surrounding scenery is quite nice, and it's pleasant to take a stroll outside. The parking lot isn't very large, so it can be tight during peak times, but access is very convenient.

The hot water was still not working – both the water pressure and temperature were an issue. Parking was still unavailable. On the plus side, the buffet included in the package was good, so it was decent value for money overall.
