I expected a lot more based on the reviews, but I'm very disappointed. The building is still under construction. There was nonstop jackhammering from 10 am to 6 pm. The area is not good. It is walking distance to the African monument but no banks or supermarkets nearby, just one very overpriced restaurant. It takes almost an hour to go from this northern suburb to downtown Dakar, which is further south.
Also the staff struggled with the basics. they asked if I wanted housekeeping and I said "not today, but I want it tomorrow." They asked me three times, and then the following day told me that my room wasn't cleaned because they didn't know if I wanted it....
