Villa Malaka

Dakar is the place i’ve known only when i play video game in my Play Station. The game ‘ Dakar 97’ is my first knowledge about Dakar. Which is the rally racing in year 1997. It is quite an amazing video game and now i’m here in Dakar.

They advertised the wrong room for a cheaper price. When I got there, the lady immediately knew I was not going to like the room. She proposed me another room for the double of the price that I ended up taking. Of course I went on the top of the roof where they have added a bedroom in dorm setting with no ceiling. I was like 100 degrees F. I asked the lady if someone ever sleep there. She confessed that the current tenants just get in at night when it little cool in Dakar. Also in my new bedroom the AC wasn’t working properly. I paid her the balance in cash since ******* already charged my credit card for the announced price.

The homely environment, very helpful staff, very clean rooms and great food were amazing. I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Malaka. The beautiful decor makes the rooms beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend it to visitors to Dakar who prefer a homely place for their visit.

I almost got bit by their dogs. Who keeps a pitbull at a hotel? Their kids were all over the place, shouting at night and in the morning. The room smelled really wierd. There was no food in the area. I didn’t complete my stay and I left to find another hotel to stay at. I will not stay at this place ever again.

Positive: good location and price Negative: two bigs welcoming you at the door of which one doesn’t listen to commands to stop or sit at all. The breakfast only consists of bread with jam
