This hotel was definitely the highlight of my Dali trip! The service was excellent; they really went above and beyond, and the waffles were absolutely delicious 😋. The latte they made was the best I've had recently. I knew I had to leave a good review the moment I checked in, and now that I've left Dali, I'm quickly writing it! They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out, which was a thoughtful touch. The entire room has smart controls. The only minor drawback might be some noise in rooms facing the street, but it's nothing major. A perfect 100/100 hotel, highly recommend!

Last week's continuous rain in Dali really dampened my spirits. I'd been seriously debating whether to still take my child to Dali this week, not wanting to waste a whole week of annual leave for nothing. After much deliberation, I decided to just go for it and see what happens.
But the moment I saw Erhai Lake, I knew: it was absolutely the right decision! So glad we came!
Dali gifted us with beautiful weather. Erhai Lake is simply breathtaking. It has that serene, timeless beauty. ☀️🌊
Itinerary Day 1:
We drove over 4 hours from Fuxian Lake to Dali, arriving early in the afternoon when the sun was shining beautifully. We stayed at a guesthouse along the Erhai Ecological Corridor, boasting massive floor-to-ceiling windows that looked right out onto Erhai Lake. Even my child exclaimed, 'Wow, this is so peaceful!'
You could tell the owner had put a lot of thought into the guesthouse's decor. Every corner was picture-perfect. There were no unnecessary frills, yet everything felt refined and thoughtfully placed.
It gets dark quite late in Dali, so after we dropped off our bags and relaxed for a bit at the guesthouse, we went to rent bicycles. If you're traveling with kids, I highly recommend renting bikes with a rear-mounted child safety seat. They come with seatbelts, so you don't have to worry about them falling off. At 30 yuan per day, I thought it was incredibly good value for money.
Even though we only started riding in the late afternoon, we managed to cycle for almost two hours. The gentle breeze was just heavenly! Comparing it to Chongqing, which feels like an oven, this place was simply divine. During our ride, we stumbled upon a lovely, shallow spot perfect for children to splash around in. It was so pretty! We immediately ordered wading suits for delivery, planning to come back and play there first thing in the morning if the weather held up.
We didn't have dinner until around 8 PM, opting for a casual eatery. Their seafood fried rice was absolutely delicious! And spicy! It was actually our 7th wedding anniversary today. We didn't pick a fancy restaurant or have a celebratory cake, but we still felt incredibly happy and content with how the day unfolded. ☺️ After dinner, we leisurely cycled back to return our bikes, then took a relaxed stroll back to our guesthouse.
I asked the friendly guy at the front desk to warm up some milk for our son, and the rice noodles we had the next morning were also fantastic! Yunnan's rice noodles might look fiery with their red chili oil, but they're surprisingly mild, so kids can enjoy them without a problem. When we checked out, the staff member kindly helped us with our luggage and drove us to the parking area in their shuttle. He was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Looking forward to Day 2!

During our trip, we accidentally chose Dali Chaoguang Farmhouse. This accommodation experience not only made us feel the warmth of home, but also left a deep impression on us because we met a kind-hearted boss.
First of all, the location of Dali Chaoguang Farmhouse is very convenient. It is only a few kilometers away from the main attractions in the city, and the transportation is very convenient. However, what really surprised us was the hospitality of the B&B owner. The boss is a warm and hospitable person. He not only helped us plan our travel itinerary, but also provided a lot of practical local information and suggestions.
The boss treats every guest like a friend. He always listens patiently to our needs and does his best to meet our requirements. Whether it was providing breakfast suggestions or helping us with minor issues during the trip, he was very thoughtful. His sincerity and enthusiasm made us feel the warmth of home during the trip.
In addition, the facilities and services of Dali Chaoguang Farmhouse are also excellent. The room is clean and tidy, with simple and comfortable decoration style, and complete facilities, including air conditioning, hot shower and WiFi. The public areas are also warm and inviting, making us feel at home.
Overall, our experience at Dali Chaoguang Farmhouse exceeded our expectations. Not only because of its location and comfortable accommodation, but also because of meeting a kind-hearted boss. His enthusiasm and attentiveness made us feel a rare warmth and care during the trip. If we have the opportunity to come to Dali again, we will definitely choose Dali Chaoguang Farmhouse again and will recommend this warm accommodation to our friends.

The hotel's location is great; it's close to Erhai Lake and about a 10-minute walk to Caicun Pier. There are plenty of dining options nearby for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the prices are reasonable. The room facilities are well-equipped and quite new. I carefully checked the bedsheets, and they were very clean, and the mattress was comfortable. Overall, it offers good value for money. Just a tip: when taking a taxi, don't go directly to the hotel entrance because the alley is very narrow and difficult to navigate. It's much easier to set your destination to a ride-sharing pickup point about 50 meters away.

Stayed for two nights and didn't want to leave! The environment is absolutely beautiful, and the location is super convenient. The facilities are top-notch too. But what really stands out is the service. My child wasn't feeling well after eating something, and the front desk staff went above and beyond, helping us with a late checkout, bringing snacks and drinks, and even warming up some food for us. I'll definitely be back if I get the chance, and I'll be recommending this place to all my friends!

Hygiene: Clean and tidy
Environment: Comfortable, especially in the early morning, very quiet, sitting on the chair outside and breathing the fresh air in the morning, very comfortable
Service: The front desk guys and girls are very patient, helping me turn on the TV, get things, and connect to the Internet, very good
The charging in the room must be checked because it is intelligently controlled. The boss can teach me how to use it.
It is recommended to buy a larger toilet seat 🤣 such a big TOTO.
In addition to these opinions that are not considered disadvantages, this place is really high-end, very comfortable and quiet, like living in a courtyard house, with a courtyard.
The balcony of the room on the third floor has no roof. Sitting outside on a chair and watching the stars in the wind, I feel like this is my own home😝
I upgraded the room in the off-season, but I hope that everyone will become rich in the future, and can go out to live in a hotel and choose the highest-end room type, which is really great.
The last picture is the sunrise when I walked out of the hotel
(Breakfast is cooked as much as you eat, this form is good, give this hotel breakfast a good review👍The noodles are slightly spicy)

The B&B environment is very good. The observation deck on the top floor of the hotel directly sees Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. The entire B&B is newly decorated, bright and simple. The service of the B&B owner is simply amazing, which can only be described as meticulous. The recommended mushroom soup hotpot is fresh and affordable. The recommended hand-pulled rice is delicious and beautiful. Most of them are the kind that locals often eat. If you don't have a good guide, just stay in this B&B. The owner will help you with everything.

This is the most authentically scenic hotel I've ever stayed at in Dali, bar none. Opening the window reveals snow-capped Cangshan Mountain and shimmering Erhai Lake. No need to rush to tourist attractions or search for the perfect spot; you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery from your bed.
The room design is sophisticated and restrained, with meticulous attention to detail. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the entire azure expanse as a private painting, allowing you to immerse yourself in the sunset over Orange Lake and the starry night sky. The service is gentle and unobtrusive, from check-in instructions to breakfast—everything is perfectly attentive. Clean, comfortable, and therapeutic, it's a place you'll want to return to again and again.
It's not just about staying at a hotel; it's about experiencing the complete romance of Dali in your heart.
The B&B is right by the Erhai Lake, in a very quiet location, not as noisy as commercial areas. Waking up in the morning and having breakfast by the Erhai Lake was very relaxing. The B&B owner was very friendly. He contacted us early to send us the location, and he came out early to help us with our luggage when we arrived, and he did the same when we left. The owner of the B&B has long hair, is artistic, and even runs a bar. He is very friendly. Staying here for two nights added a warm feeling to my trip to Dali. I recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Dali.

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe homestay is located halfway up the mountain, facing Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. All rooms have a sea view, with a wide field of vision and beautiful scenery. Lying on the bed or sitting on the terrace, you can see the beautiful scenery of Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. The sunrise and sunset, and the beautiful scenery of Jinshan Mountain are even more intoxicating. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The surrounding environment is quiet and comfortable, making people feel like they are in a paradise. They can really relax and enjoy a quiet vacation. The store service is very thoughtful and considerate. From communication and coordination before check-in to various needs after check-in, they can be timely, enthusiastic and professional. Welcome fruits and snacks will also be given to make guests feel the warmth of home.
FFlorataA very lovely homestay! My parents are super satisfied!
The landlord is a cute little brother who is engaged in art. He is very friendly and should be from an artistic family. The paintings in the house are said to be painted by the landlord's mother.
The location is on March Street outside the ancient city. If you take the bus, you have to walk uphill from March Street. It will be a bit tiring to walk, so if you take a taxi, it is recommended to take it to the entrance of the alley.
The homestay is simply decorated and warm, cleaned very cleanly, and the flowers and plants are well taken care of. It's just that the legendary cat is not seen. Drinks and candies are provided in the room, and the air conditioner, electric blanket, and electric heater are sufficient for heating.
There is no breakfast in the homestay. The breakfast shop at the door tastes pretty good, and the restaurant recommended by the little brother is also delicious! Super cost-effective!
The most important thing is! The homestay has a rooftop and a swing chair. It's so pleasant to watch the sunrise in the morning! During the Spring Festival, you don't have to go to the Erhai Lake to squeeze people. The scenery is very good. Listening to the barking of dogs and the crowing of chickens, watching the sunrise, wow, at that moment I really felt the beauty of life! Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThis B&B, recommended by a friend, truly offers a serene and breathtaking experience, making you feel as if you're living within a picturesque landscape. The courtyard is lush with greenery. Beyond a breezy gazebo adorned with white flowing drapes, the backyard offers stunning views of the mist-shrouded Cangshan mountains and an emerald-green wetland lake. Every snap you take is postcard-perfect. The rooms are spacious, and the host's service is top-notch. The proprietress's photography skills are simply exceptional! Highly recommended!

Mmmz0067Facilities: The hotel facilities are excellent and comprehensive, with many thoughtful designs. For instance, the lights have a gradual dim-to-bright transition, there are plenty of charging ports in the room, and the bathroom features high-quality wet/dry separation. The bedding and sofa are very comfortable. The drinking fountain provides direct drinking water, eliminating concerns about kettles. There's even a swing on the balcony, which the kids absolutely loved.
Service: The staff were very enthusiastic, offering advice on local tourist attractions and proactively assisting with luggage.
Food: The hotel's breakfast is a simple affair, usually including eggs, corn, sweet potato, porridge, tremella soup, coffee, and local specialty rice noodles (which were delicious). These are generally the main options, and there's certainly enough to fill you up. For lunch and dinner, there's a mushroom hotpot restaurant right next to the hotel.
Location: I believe it's in the Xiaguan area? Being right by Erhai Lake, the scenery is incredibly beautiful. However, there are fewer businesses nearby, so you might need to head into the city for more dining and shopping options.
Summary: We stayed here for two nights, then moved to the Old Town for the next two. After comparing, this place was vastly superior. I honestly wished we could have gone straight back to stay another two nights. The designer hotels in the Old Town were incredibly cold. If I ever get the chance to visit Dali again, I'll definitely stay here. I've already recommended it to my colleagues.

GGuest User#Praise#Satisfied with the lighting in the room;#Negative review#Disappointed with the size of the room;I booked a 2023.1.19 with my friend in 2022.12.30 and stayed in a 65-square-meter suite of two suites, and began to look forward to this New Year's trip. But our group arrived at the hotel around 5:30 pm in 1.19, but was told to upgrade our room type, two toilets, etc. There is no free lunch in the world, and we heard that there was no trace of happiness. Sure enough, the suite we ordered was replaced by the store for no reason, and it was not told to us. Every word the boss said is a loophole, and I still can't bear to say whether it is for others to stay. The boss said yes. We booked accommodation half a month in advance, just to avoid this situation, but this kind of thing still happened. At that time, the price we set said 585 yuan a night, maybe the boss felt low? Change our room for no reason. Also kept saying that we changed two rooms with separate bathrooms, Barabara. But we wanted to live in a suite, and it was obvious that the boss defaulted. But there is no way, the good man does not eat the immediate loss, and does not want to affect the mood of travel too much. We have no choice but to change rooms. Honesty is the basic character of businessmen. Finally, the Year of the Rabbit is auspicious.
