I finally got to stay at the white courtyard B&B I'd been dreaming of, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations! The entire building features a simple, clean, pure white design. The arched doorways paired with the small courtyard pond create a truly soothing effect with the play of light and shadow on the walls – every photo turned out beautifully. The book bar in the common area has a wonderful atmosphere, perfect for quietly unwinding. The room itself is minimalist wabi-sabi style, clean and refreshing. The lighting is soft and gentle, not harsh, and the bedding is soft and comfortable; I felt the fatigue of my travels melt away the moment I lay down. Green plants adorn the room, perfectly enhancing the ambiance, and the facilities are very well-maintained, showing the owner's meticulous care for details. The environment is quiet, not noisy, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. The overall vibe is incredibly relaxing. This place is truly perfect for a travel break, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle and quietly enjoy your own time. The hygiene was exceptional; even the corners were spotless. It's rare to find such a perfect accommodation during travels. I'll definitely choose this place again next time and sincerely recommend it to friends looking for a peaceful getaway ✨

This hotel is located in the Old Town area, just a few minutes' walk from Sanyue Street and the Old Town itself. There are plenty of convenient dining options nearby, and parking is also easy. I particularly loved their courtyard, which offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, and the comfortable amenities in the room. From the top floor, you can see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, perfect for catching the sunrise and sunset. The owner was very kind and gave great recommendations for food and attractions!

The housekeeper was incredibly enthusiastic and thankfully contacted us in advance. They helped arrange a car pick-up, which was a lifesaver as taxis are so difficult to get. It saved us so much time! The food recommendations were also fantastic, and they suggested many great places that weren't overly crowded. We didn't have to deal with throngs of people. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both excellent. We were very satisfied with our stay! The hotel design is also superb, making for great photos, and the rooftop view is absolutely stunning.

BEWARE: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL — NOWHERE NEAR A FOUR-STAR STANDARD Please read this before booking. The host was kind and helpful. She arranged our pickup through WeChat, helped with our luggage and gave us the mountain-view room we had booked. The coffee downstairs was nice. But the property itself is filthy. There really is no other way to describe it. The most shocking part was the wall immediately behind the bed, where your pillows rest. It was covered in black scuff marks, dirt and stains to the extent that I was genuinely uncomfortable putting my pillow against it. This is literally the wall directly behind your head while you sleep. How is this acceptable hotel hygiene? And it isn’t just that wall. The skirting boards are dirty and covered in grime. The floors are covered in black marks, stains and scuffing. The dustbin was filthy. The bedside lamp had an electrical wire that had simply been tied/repaired rather than properly fixed. The laundry facilities were so dirty and poorly maintained that we were uncomfortable putting our clothes into the washing machine. I have attached photographs of the actual condition of the room and facilities. Please look at them before you book. This property is advertised as four-star. I have stayed at four-star hotels across China and globally, and this property does not come close to that standard. In my opinion, it isn’t even at a two-star standard when it comes to basic cleanliness and maintenance. This isn’t about luxury or fancy amenities. It is about hygiene. A hotel should be clean. The wall behind your pillow should be clean. The floors should be clean. The laundry facilities should be clean. These are basic expectations. There is also a large active construction site immediately next to the property, with a tower crane visible from a considerable distance. This was not disclosed anywhere in the booking information. The road outside is noisy from around 7:00–7:30 a.m., with traffic and constant honking. Shortly afterwards, the construction activity adds to the disturbance. We did not change hotels because we were only staying for two nights and had a completely back-to-back itinerary. Moving would have meant losing a significant part of our very limited time. We had already lost almost an hour of our itinerary one morning because the barista arrived late, so changing hotels simply wasn’t practical. What makes this even more frustrating is that I did my homework before booking. I read the reviews from the preceding several months and saw very few recent negative reviews. I assumed the problems mentioned by earlier guests had been addressed. They clearly haven’t. After our stay, I went back and read the older reviews again. Guest after guest had mentioned poor cleanliness and hygiene. Having now experienced the property ourselves, I can confirm that those concerns remain completely valid. The property is clearly very good at marketing itself and attracts guests from many different countries. But marketing is not a substitute for actually maintaining the property. We raised our concerns with Trip.com and provided detailed photographs and videos documenting everything. After all of this, the hotel’s response was to offer 100 CNY. We rejected it. Quite honestly, it felt like a token amount being offered simply to make the problem go away. If this is the property’s approach to dealing with serious complaints rather than actually addressing the underlying hygiene and maintenance problems, that is extremely disappointing. I am writing this review because future guests deserve to know what the property is actually like. Look at the photographs. They tell the story better than I can. The host was kind. But the property is poorly maintained, unhygienic and nowhere near a four-star standard. BEWARE. If you are expecting a genuine four-star hotel, look elsewhere.

We happened to be there during the Torch Festival, and had such a blast that I completely forgot to take pictures of the hotel! The owner was incredibly welcoming and even took us to experience the festival with them. It was such a fantastic experience. The hotel itself was also great, I just forgot to snap some photos! We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

Located on a higher elevation at Dali March Street, offering great views. It's also very close to Dali Ancient City, and the owner was super thoughtful, advising us on the most convenient and affordable ways to get around. From our room, we could even see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, which was absolutely fantastic! A really great stay overall!

In Dali!! The best money I've ever spent... 🌿✨ Dali's mountaintop luxury retreat This rooftop is so beautiful my hand was shaking from pressing the shutter! ✨🌿 Ladies, listen up!! When you come to Dali, seriously, stop just crowding the famous S-Bay spots 📸 This luxury designer guesthouse, hidden halfway up Cangshan Mountain, has a rooftop terrace that makes the mountains and sea your exclusive backdrop. It's so stunning, you'll be speechless!! 🤯 🌄【Cloud-level Observation Deck】 Standing on the spacious rooftop balcony, the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain are laid out before you, the panoramic view of Erhai Lake spreads out below, and the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple dot the scenery. In the morning, it's misty and feels like you're walking on clouds. In the evening, watch the sunset dye the entire Erhai Lake into an 'orange sea' 🍊, and at night, look up to see the Milky Way clearly with your naked eye ✨ 🌸【Design-forward】 Raw wood style + minimalist lines, step through the door to a courtyard full of greenery and dappled light. The small garden on the first floor is maintained like a fairytale secret garden, and there are super well-behaved cats to pet 🐱! Every corner aligns with my aesthetic; any casual shot looks like a magazine spread 📖 📍Location: Shanlinjian Designer Luxury B&B (Dali Ancient City Branch) #DaliGuesthouse #DaliTravel #CangshanErhai #LuxuryBoutiqueHotel #DiscoverHiddenGems #AtmosphericBnb #RomanticHotelsAndBnb
