Ganfu Bai Aesthetic Landscape Homestay (Dali Ancient City Branch)

The hotel is conveniently located near the Three Pagodas Gate in Dali Ancient City, just 3 kilometers from Caicun Pier. You can get there by taking bus line 8 from Dali Station, getting off at Gancun Station, and walking for 3 minutes. The guesthouse has a beautiful courtyard and features typical Bai-style architecture. It's very clean and hygienic, and the prices are great. They also offer freshly made breakfast, which is much cleaner and healthier than eating out. The owner also rents out electric scooters.

The moment I pushed open the hotel room door, the fatigue accumulated from my journey slowly began to dissipate. Warm light fell on the wooden-textured furniture, and the white sheer curtains by the window swayed gently with the evening breeze, filtering the city's starlight into a soft halo. After unpacking my luggage, I walked barefoot across the cool floor and collapsed onto the soft, large bed, finally stretching out my tense shoulders and back after days of strain. With the blackout curtains drawn, the world outside faded, leaving only my own peaceful solitude. Whether I was traveling for sightseeing or bustling about for business, this alone time in the hotel became the most therapeutic buffer during my trip. No need to rush the itinerary, no need to engage in small talk; just a chance to rest well here and gather strength for the next leg of my journey.

The room was very clean, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. The B&B's environment is elegant and serene, with stunning views of Cangshan mountain right from the window. We had a minor issue with the towel rack during our stay, but it was resolved very quickly.

The B&B was exceptionally clean and tidy, with daily housekeeping right on time. The hostess was incredibly warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast was both delicious and plentiful. We felt very comfortable staying here, and it offered fantastic value for money. Highly recommend!

Came here at the tail end of the May Day holiday to join in the fun. Arrived at 12 AM and specifically chose this hotel because it had parking, which was indeed very convenient. It's also a quick walk to the ancient town. Even though we stayed on the first floor, it was very quiet at night. The landlady was very enthusiastic and told us the best way to exit when we were leaving. The room was cozy too. Will definitely come back if I have the chance!

The B&B owner, along with the staff, was incredibly warm and friendly. Every time you walked in or out, they'd greet you, strike up a conversation, ask about your plans, and offer incredibly practical and thoughtful advice. They were super knowledgeable about exploring Dali and getting to other places from there. At first, as an introvert, this level of familiarity made me feel a bit uneasy. Compared to that, the lounge areas in chain hotels in Kunming, cleverly out of the front desk's direct line of sight, felt more comfortable. But gradually, I started to feel the warmth and friendliness, slowly getting used to this feeling of mutual greetings and helpfulness, just like long-time neighbors. In the mornings, when we came downstairs, the 'ajie' (a local term of address) would insist we eat breakfast, saying 'It's really delicious, you know!' When they heard we were going to Erhai Lake, they'd bring us umbrellas, gloves, and rain ponchos. And when we mentioned hiking, they'd give us candy – Hsu Fu Chi from a red bag, a few pieces of each flavor. It was truly considerate.
