The guesthouse owner was incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The B&B itself was beautiful, featuring a lovely water courtyard with fish swimming in the center, which created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Another cute 'resident' there, the cat was also very friendly and welcoming. The location was excellent and very convenient, just a short distance from Dali Ancient City, making it easy to explore the area. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared each morning. The owner even asked what I would like to eat and prepared the meal accordingly, which was a thoughtful touch. Despite her petite size, she kindly helped me carry my large and heavy luggage, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Dali.

Fantastic! The owner is incredibly kind, and the rice noodles she makes are absolutely delicious 😋. Seriously, the best rice noodles I've had in Yunnan, hands down! I stayed for three nights and ate them three times, and I'm still craving them even though I'm somewhere else now 🥹. There's also a cute little cat named Laicai (meaning 'bring wealth') who is super sweet and loves to be petted!

I had a wonderful stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable and assisting us whenever needed. The room was very clean, spacious, and much bigger than we expected, which made our stay even more comfortable. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The property has a lovely garden area with a peaceful koi (carp) pond, creating a relaxing and charming atmosphere. It felt like staying in a quiet little retreat. We were also pleasantly surprised with free breakfast, and the host personally prepared breakfast for us, which was such a thoughtful and warm gesture. The hospitality truly made us feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dali and looking for a peaceful place with beautiful surroundings and excellent service.

Despite being right inside Dali Ancient City, it's completely shielded from the street noise, offering a rare sense of tranquility amidst the bustling area. It's incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city on foot. We booked a mountain-view room with an exclusive terrace, and sitting there in the evening, enjoying the breeze, the view was so relaxing and truly set the perfect mood. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was neat and fresh, and the smart bathroom amenities were convenient and easy to use; all the hardware was very well-maintained. The owner was kind and thoughtful, and the check-in process was simple and smooth. They weren't intrusive at all, but were always quick to respond if we had any questions. Overall, the guesthouse has a strong ancient charm, quiet and healing. After a day of exploring the ancient city, returning to the courtyard was incredibly stress-relieving. The stay far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the ancient city.

The lady was amazing! She single-handedly carried both our luggage pieces directly to our room. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The courtyard outside was beautifully traditional, very zen. It's about a 10-minute walk uphill to the ancient town, which is manageable if you take your time.

The room looked very comfortable and clean. The housekeeper was so thoughtful. The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the pastoral-style courtyard was very pleasant to look at. The environment is beautiful, and it's easy to get around. San Yue Street is right next door, and it's only a five-minute walk to Dali Ancient City. Highly recommended!

The B&B environment is incredibly clean and tidy, with a beautiful and comfortable overall design that makes you feel very relaxed. The room facilities are complete, and the hygiene is excellent, making for a very satisfying stay. The location is convenient, with easy access to transportation and amenities. The staff are also very friendly, and I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

The manager was very helpful and gave us the largest room in the whole boutique hotel. The facing of the hotel was East-West, meaning our room has direct setting sun which makes the room warm. Breakfast was ok. We departed early and the manager prepared breakfast for us to bring along for our departure flight. Very nice of her v

The actual place looks exactly like the photos! It's a beautiful and clean guesthouse. The hostess is lovely; she's petite but incredibly strong, and helped us carry our luggage upstairs! She also prepared simple yet delicious rice noodles for us. Highly recommended!

Away from the main street's hustle and bustle, nights are quiet and ensure a good night's sleep – a perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. **Ambiance:** The Bai-style courtyard, surrounded by flowing water and swimming koi, along with the stylish dry landscape garden, makes every corner photo-worthy. The white walls and grey tiles harmonize beautifully with Cangshan Mountain, and the lush greenery in the courtyard invites you to sit, sip tea, and simply relax as time slows down. There are standalone wooden old houses and new brick-and-concrete buildings, which can be rented separately, making it ideal for family or friends' gatherings. **Rooms:** The bedding meets five-star standards, with a mattress that's just the right firmness for a great night's sleep. The wabi-sabi style of natural wood gives a high-end yet understated feel. **Facilities:** The amenities are incredibly comprehensive: smart toilet, Dyson hairdryer, branded toiletries, makeup remover/moisturizer, washer-dryer, and a rooftop drying area.
