the Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel

Stayed in a castle straight out of a fairytale! Didn't realize it was managed by Marriott, but still owned by Yifang Group. Check-in was smooth, and overall, my experience was pretty good, so five stars from me! My only minor quibble is that the hotel is a bit old and the AC wasn't great, but everything else was perfect.

I stayed here many years ago, and the experience is as excellent as ever. I was at 'X' hotel across the street for the past two days, and moving here is a huge contrast. Ultimately, the service industry is all about soft power. When issues arise, it truly tests a hotel. The one across the street handled problems by simply shrugging off responsibility. But this castle hotel truly embodies the Marriott system. They are responsible, accountable, warm, and thoughtful. From the concierge to the front desk, and even the manager's approach to problem-solving – everything is highly professional.

Overall, it was a good stay. I think it's especially worthwhile for families with children, as the castle-like atmosphere is something no luxury hotel can replicate. The facilities inside were actually quite good and worth the price. The service was also very attentive, and I was quite satisfied.

For our family trip, we booked a sea-view room. The view was absolutely amazing, and we could even watch the cross-sea bridge light show at night. We also spotted some adorable deer on the hillside of the hotel. The hotel offers its own unique activities, which are perfect for kids.

Rooms here are really in high demand; it was impossible to extend my stay. Aside from a long wait during check-in, everything else was fantastic: the fifth-floor garden is charming both day and night, and the room's crystal chandeliers and carved wall decorations exude the luxury of an economic boom period. Even the chairs are incredibly heavy – they really spared no expense with the materials! However, the curtain on one of the windows in my room was broken and wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of light as soon as it got bright outside. Other than that, everything was perfect!

The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast selection was extensive. The hotel's facilities and environment were beautiful, and I especially loved the 19th-century antiques inside. It was superb! However, I felt that the service was a bit lacking in some areas, and the staff's attitude could be improved. It didn't feel very warm or personable. Also, after staying for 5 nights, my child didn't receive even a small gift at checkout, which was a bit unexpected. We stayed at several other hotels during the summer holidays, and they all offered small gifts and had very warm service throughout our stay. It just felt like this castle hotel was missing a little something in that regard. On a positive note, we frequently saw deer around the hotel, which was a delightful experience!

The hotel boasts incredible views. Although it's not a new hotel, it's clear they do an excellent job with daily maintenance. The breakfast offers a great variety and is delicious. All in all, it lives up to five-star standards in every aspect.

Our stay was perfect! Lisa, our butler, was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The hotel has a kids' play area and a treasure hunt activity, which my children absolutely loved. The grounds are lush and green, making for very pleasant walks. We even unexpectedly encountered some deer, adding delightful surprises to our trip.
