Hengli Hotel Dalian

The hotel's location is very convenient. The front desk manager was attentive and professional, providing travel planning and restaurant recommendations for the local area. She made this a perfect trip! The hotel room was reasonably comfortable, but I suggest improving the quality of the bedding and towels. For such a great location, the price offers excellent value for money. Keep up the good work, Hengli Hotel, hoping for even better! 😀

After many years, I revisited Dalian. I looked at several hotels, but few met my expectations until I found this one. It boasts an unbeatable sea view, and you can enjoy the sunset right from your room and living room. The lobby is on the 66th floor, and the six elevators handle the traffic quite well, not feeling too crowded except during breakfast hours. The staff were proactive in greeting guests, and the cleaning was thorough. There's a small play area on the lobby floor, which was enough to entertain the kids. As for the hot water supply issue that many have complained about, it's perfectly fine if you manage your usage reasonably. Venice Water Town, World Architecture, and Donggang Fifth Street are all within walking distance, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Food delivery comes right up to your floor, which is super convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here again if I have the chance.

Perfect for family trips! The service was excellent, though the elevator was a bit slow. You can even catch the sunrise right from your room.

Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. The front desk staff upgraded us to a supreme sea-view room on the 58th floor, which was an L-shaped unit with incredible ocean views. The living room and both bedrooms had large windows, and even the bathrooms had scenic windows. Food delivery could be brought right to our door. Due to the high floor, the elevators were a bit crowded and required a short wait, but everything else was excellent. Highly recommended.

Aside from its excellent location, the hotel's room amenities and services don't meet five-star standards; it's more like an apartment hotel. Breakfast was too crowded, and the management seemed a bit disorganized. It felt a bit overpriced for what it was!

While the hotel's decor and facilities are quite old, the sea view from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the 66th-floor lobby is still breathtaking when checking in. The young man who checked us in was also very enthusiastic, proactively introducing the hotel and room amenities. The transportation is quite convenient, being very close to Donggang Metro Station, and you can feed seagulls right outside the hotel by the sea. It's also very close and convenient to popular attractions like Donggang Music Fountain, Venice Water City, and Donggang Fifth Street. You don't have to fight the crowds at tourist spots, and you can see large ships from the beach right outside the hotel in the morning. Sitting in a seaside cafe and enjoying the sea view is also very pleasant. The two-bedroom suite is very suitable for families with children, as it's spacious and has a kitchen and refrigerator, allowing you to prepare some food. Housekeeping was also timely; the room was always clean and tidy when we returned each day. Now, after the positives, let me share the annoyances we experienced during our stay: 1. On the first day, housekeeping threw away one of my contact lenses. Luckily, I had a spare pair, otherwise, I would have been "blind" for three days in Dalian. When guest relations called to inquire about our stay, they said it was because I didn't put it in a contact lens case but rather in its original disposable packaging. However, that's not a valid reason for you to throw away a guest's belongings. 2. The two bathrooms share a single storage-type water heater. Although we were informed of this upon check-in, it's really not a good experience for a group of four, after a day of sightseeing, to have to wait in line for the water to heat up to take a shower. Also, the shower water temperature in the master bedroom fluctuated wildly between scalding hot and icy cold, making my child cry! Later, they explained that other water sources shouldn't be used simultaneously when someone is showering, which was not mentioned to us during check-in. This makes it very inconvenient, meaning even if you have two showers, you can't use them at the same time. 3. For the first two days, we didn't need to swipe our room cards to go upstairs, but suddenly on the third day, we were told that the elevator required a room card, and our room cards actually didn't work! We had to go back to the 66th-floor lobby to get new cards. We were told this was because there were too many people in the previous two days, so they canceled the card swipe for the elevator? This seems like a safety concern. After checking out, an employee from guest relations called to ask about our stay, which shows you do care about the guest experience. However, after I explained the three points above, no feedback or compensation was offered. So, was the young lady just calling to listen to my complaints? Haha.

Fantastic! A two-bedroom apartment that both the elderly, kids, and my family absolutely loved! They thoughtfully upgraded us to a sea-view room. Downstairs, you can see the Venetian Water Town at night, and it's really quiet, with no mosquitoes. The bedding and air conditioning were all comfortable! A washing machine, sofa, and fridge were all included. We stayed for three days straight, and when we moved to another place afterward, there was a noticeable drop in quality – we really should have just stayed here the whole time! Highly recommend for families with children or elderly members!

Right by Venice Water City, the location is fantastic. It faces the sea, offering endless beautiful views. The hotel breakfast is also excellent, with a variety of seafood like scallops, and the taste is superb. Definitely recommend staying here!
