InterContinental Dalian

I usually book five-star hotels wherever I go, and most of them are InterContinental, because I trust the brand. Many InterContinental hotels in various cities haven't disappointed me; the service and environment are excellent, and I often get free room upgrades. However, my experience at the Dalian InterContinental this time was just so-so. Parking space on the ground floor was very tight, and the service wasn't great either. I felt the hotel wasn't as good as my previous stays, and there was no room upgrade. While this chain brand is expensive, I really feel this particular hotel doesn't live up to its price; the value for money is quite low. The hotel didn't feel very welcoming or high-class. The location is decent though, convenient for getting around and dining. The room space was acceptable. There were many options for breakfast, but the facilities felt a bit dated, especially the TV, which was very blurry. When showering, the overhead rain shower had less water pressure than the handheld spray. Also, when I tried to dry my hair, the hairdryer didn't work when plugged into the dedicated outlet near the sink; it only worked when I switched to a different outlet. Overall, it wasn't a comfortable stay, and many details were overlooked! It wasn't the usual excellent InterContinental experience I'm used to.

The hotel's location near Zhongshan Square is very convenient for transportation. The room is spacious and grand, with classic, opulent bathroom fixtures. The view outside the window is stunning. Breakfast is abundant and delicious, and the freshly ground coffee is excellent. The carrot and apple juice is also really tasty, probably because of the powerful juicer they use.

The facilities were outdated, which I could overlook, but the cleanliness was also subpar. I was lying in bed, using my phone, and a small bug crawled onto it – that's just too much! The hotel staff's attitude was also very mediocre, very stiff. It's probably the worst InterContinental I've ever stayed at in terms of service.

The room was spacious and thoughtfully designed. The location is super convenient, right next to Zhongshan Square, making it easy to get anywhere, and it's also very close to the subway station. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. This is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Dalian!

Service: I'm really satisfied with the service at InterContinental, especially Eric Wang Yong, the greeter in the lobby. He proactively helped with our three or four suitcases and was very considerate of my elderly parents and children. Hygiene: Auntie Qu, from housekeeping, was also incredibly meticulous, warm, and provided excellent service. Facilities: It's a fairly standard five-star hotel. Personally, I think it's good, though it has fewer modern elements. The robot food delivery is a convenient touch.

This is an established five-star hotel with an excellent location. The high floors offer panoramic city and harbor views. The breakfast is rich and features local specialties. The service is warm and professional, with the concierge being particularly attentive. However, the room facilities are quite outdated and I recommend they be renovated soon.

Our room was upgraded to a deluxe twin, and from the higher floor, we had a lovely view of the sea at night. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and the service was quite responsive. The location is great, right at the Youhao Square Metro Station (Line 2), which makes getting around very convenient. The only downside is that the facilities are a bit old.

Our first night in Dalian was at the Intercontinental, and it truly gave my family and me an unparalleled stay. The front desk, considering we had a child with us, upgraded us to a family room and breakfast, and even gave us a welcome gift. They thoughtfully arranged for the extra bed to be made up for our little one in advance. The room's amenities were excellent, maintaining Intercontinental's consistently high standards. The breakfast offered a wide variety, including local specialties like sea cucumber congee and Northeastern dishes, all of which were delicious. The staff were numerous, very enthusiastic, and incredibly efficient at clearing plates. From our room window, we could see several historic buildings in Zhongshan Square, indicating a prime location. All in all, I give it a 100% recommendation and will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, with high-floor rooms offering superb views of Zhongshan Square. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the bathrooms are particularly large. Enjoying the happy hour buffet dinner at the executive lounge while watching the harbor sunset was incredibly pleasant! The breakfast was very rich and featured Dalian specialties like sea cucumber congee with sea cucumber sausage, sea jelly, clam noodles, and Roujiamo (Chinese meat burger). The InterContinental staff were all very welcoming. Ella handled my check-in professionally, efficiently, and with great warmth. Sherry processed my check-out, providing thoughtful service that truly enhanced my experience.
