XiHe Hotel (Dalian Railway Station Zhongshan Plaza Store)

The hotel reception was very thoughtful, and the check-in process was smooth. They even provided disposable slippers and toothbrushes for my child, which my kid loved. There are tons of great food options nearby. Right outside the hotel, to the left, there's a small night market with delicious grilled skewers, malatang, and grilled cold noodles. Across the street, there's a large supermarket where my mom said mineral water was very cheap. Within a 2-20 minute walk, there are many convenience stores and a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. However, the facilities are older than I expected; the bathroom doorknob and other fixtures are quite worn and faded. If that bothers you, it's something to consider.

The room facilities are outdated, like something from a twenty-year-old guesthouse. It was really bad, and the hygiene was terrible. The bathroom constantly smelled foul, which was quite disgusting. Everyone, please avoid this place!

The air conditioning was already on before I entered, so it was wonderfully cool and comfortable when I walked in. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a really good experience.

It was a very pleasant trip and I hope to visit again. Everyone was very friendly, and it's super convenient to Zhongshan Square. Nanshan Coffee Street is right nearby, and there's a huge supermarket just across the street.

Although the hotel is listed as the 'Zhongshan Square branch,' it's actually just a short tram ride on Route 201 from Dalian Station to Sanba Square, and the Xihe Hotel is directly across the street. Being in Dalian's old town, the hotel building definitely shows its age, looking a bit worn. The laundry room on the first floor seems like a later addition. The room facilities are a bit dated, but the cleanliness is decent. Soundproofing isn't great, and breakfast isn't included. The good news is that there's a night market and regular market right next to the hotel, along with plenty of other shops and businesses nearby. Transportation is convenient, and finding food is a breeze.

The hotel's location is decent. Although it's a bit of a walk to the subway, public transport is convenient, and there are some historically significant old buildings nearby. However, the hotel facilities are dated. There's a set of steps at the entrance, which isn't ideal for guests with a lot of luggage. The bathroom only has an overhead shower, no handheld one, and one of the towels had a yellow stain.

The front desk staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was clean, tidy, and had a pleasant scent. The shower facilities were complete, with great water pressure, perfect for a good rinse. The location is convenient for transportation, and there are shopping areas nearby where you can grab some snacks. Overall, I recommend this place!

Seeing we had older children with us, the front desk proactively upgraded our room type. The hotel's location is excellent, and compared to other guesthouses and hotels with often inconsistent pricing, this place offers good value for money. However, don't expect extreme comfort here.
