MEHOOD LESTIE Hotel (Dalian Station Zhongshan Square)

The hotel is quite old. You rarely see wall-mounted air conditioners and electric water heaters anymore. The AC didn't cool well, and the shower water kept fluctuating between hot and cold. There were even false eyelashes stuck to the bathroom counter, so cleanliness was a disaster. The most frustrating part was when the lights stopped working the second night. A maintenance worker came and said it was a short circuit. We then contacted the front desk to switch rooms. The room was indeed an upgrade, but only a robot delivered the key card, and no staff came to help us move our belongings. There was absolutely no service. The air conditioning vent in the new room was so dirty it was disgusting. I travel frequently for work and usually have a high tolerance for hotels, but this hotel has earned my first-ever bad review. For over 800 a night, the cleanliness, service, and facilities are worse than a budget hotel. I will definitely avoid all hotels under this brand in the future.

The room is very spacious, and the environment is pleasant. The breakfast is incredibly rich and varied. The best part is the convenient transportation; Metro Line 2 is nearby, making it super easy to get to nearby attractions. Definitely worth a good review and recommendation!

First off, the hotel is old and the cleanliness is terrible. When I turned on the air conditioning, dust bunnies flew out. They claim to clean it every half month, but it feels more like once every six months, it was that bad. There was a weird smell as soon as I entered the room. On the first day, the hand soap dispenser was empty, so I had to use my own hand soap and bar soap for my child. The elevator takes forever in the mornings. If it wasn't for booking so late during a holiday, I would have checked out immediately and found another hotel. The stay was an absolutely terrible experience.

I booked this hotel on Ctrip in early August, paying over 1000 yuan per night for a family room, but the stay experience was just mediocre. Pros: Excellent location, close to Zhongshan Square, convenient for dining and transportation. Acceptable: Cleanliness was okay, the room was spacious, front desk service was acceptable, and breakfast was decent. Complaints: I searched for a long time in the front lobby but couldn't find a trash can. Water cups were scattered everywhere on the coffee tables in the lobby, making it look very messy. The plum juice drink provided in the lobby had a 'prostate inflammation' slow flow (meaning it dispensed very slowly). The hotel seems to be a converted apartment building with very low-grade hardware facilities (similar to a standard chain hotel). The 'taste of the sea' souvenir given upon checkout was definitely a 'three-no product' (no production date, no quality certificate, no manufacturer – picture attached), I just threw it away! Perhaps it was a case of 'good intentions gone wrong'!

They 'upgraded' me to a family room for free, but the facilities inside were a mess. The old air conditioner was incredibly noisy all night, and it couldn't cool the room down. Meanwhile, my friends, who didn't get 'upgraded,' had rooms with central air conditioning, free drinks, fruit, and milk. After my 'upgrade,' I got none of that. For a hotel costing 700-800 a night, it's truly disappointing!

Traveling with kids, at 850 a night, I'd say it wasn't really worth the price! Maybe it's because we came during the peak summer travel season. The air conditioner in the room was a wall-mounted unit, and the drainage pipe kept dripping and making noise. The location is quite convenient though, with a snack street right next door.
