Deep Ellum Hostel

This was our first stay in a hostel, different, funky but very cool . Great location with tons of entertainment and dining all within walking distance. Parking is limited and kinda pricey use meters if possible, can download app to pay. Will recommend reserving room #10 its has its on private shower. Great place with beautiful setting.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was really good experience. Staff was really nice and helpful. They have really good recommendations what to visit in Dallas. Room and bathroom was clean, nice and we felt really good. If I will travel to Dallas again I would like to sleep here.

My experience was vastly different bc Christian (front desk staff) and his buddy (also a front desk staff) decided it was a good idea to admonish me to the point of bullying. At 4am I asked to be moved bc my high roommate wouldn’t let me sleep. The hostel smelled like **** which is hella illegal in TX. If I wanted to I would have been able to call the cops when Christian threatened me to throw me out at 4am. Reason: I said “this is so infuriating I’m feeling stabby” which he took and ran with to make it seem like I was crazy despite the fact I apologized “for my language” and asked again to move me. There are cameras in the hostel so y’all feel free to double check this but Christian pretty much went over the counter to wag his finger at me. Like dude!! I get it your angry I said the wrong thing at 4am but the high roommate gets away scotch free. And then said roommate follows me upstairs as I’m packing to say “I’m glad you’re leaving this room” and then next morning -cherry on top- the other guy at the front desk refuses to help me out when I asked a question about moving around Dallas. His suggestion was “google it” in order to continue the bullying. That is not the hostel way. Someone did tell me private rooms are better. But with the prices of their private rooms why wouldn’t you just chose a hotel with a pool for the same price and less misogynistic staff? Premises are good though. Whomever was cleaning they did good. And the bar I’ll review separately bc the bar staff was great.

The rooms are super comfortable, the people that work there are GREAT! I found everything really clean. I did not have the chance to use the kitchen, but it seems really clean. Though it is located in one of the main streets, and at night it is very crowded around there, I was able to rest and work without problem. For this reason, I believe the hostel is great for those who want to party and also for those who would rather rest.

-The staff are very homely and inviting. -There are loads of foods and cold beverages in stock beside the front desk. -The dorms smell amazing and are cleaned very well. Also fully stocked with tissue, paper towels, soap, etc.) -There's a fully-equipped kitchen along with a collection of books to read in the comfy lobby. The only complaint I have is that occasionally you will see gnats flying about in the bathrooms, and hiding in the trash can of the bedroom. The bunk bed was very comfortable along with the 2 giant pillows. I had an amazing stay, and will definitely come back the next time I visit Dallas 🙏

Great rates, close to Dart, and very fun atmosphere. Bed was comfy and clean. Second time here and will be back. DEEP ELLUM is very cool area! Food is great and people are unique and fun. Strongly Recommend

The bed was very comfy and the people at the office were very nice. Unfortunately, this place is really dirty even with all the efforts of the housekeeper who is trying to do her best every day. The bathrooms are really dirty, the toilets also, even the kitchen isn't clean. It's mostly other visitors who didn't clean after themselves, but you really don't want to go after them.

Finally able to visit the Deep Ellum district for the first time, looked at many different lodging options for an overnight stay with my lovely wife, the hostel provided a perfect location for walking distance for just about everything. The room was clean, the bed was soft but not too soft and attached was a good sized bathroom with a walk in shower. I liked that you could book an individual bedroom, it did come with bunk beds so it could sleep 4 or for the adventurous individuals you can book a single bunk bed. Many different options for live entertainment, but honestly the party was right next door at Booty’s Street Food, it was sold out and we couldn’t join the fun. If you’re looking for a fun overnight date with your wife or significant other, step out of your comfort zone and give this place a shot!

Only spent one day there and I could feel it's a good choice to stay in Dallas. It's organized and cleaned. Pretty cool location a fair price; there are bars and restaurants within a walking distant from the hostel
