Amazing location in the nature. Wonderful perfectly maintained location with beautiful rooms which are simple but complete of any comfort. The food (dinner and breakfast) is amazing ! It is very traditional and homemade. The dinner menu changes every day. Staff is amazing and very kind! The pool is also amazing. Sad to have been here only one night:)

The room is very nice with all the comforts needed. The bathroom is very nice, with the shower outside, just the cherry on top of the cake. Breakfasts and dinners are delicious and typical which make your stay even better. All the staff is very nice and attentive to the service, especially in the restaurant. We recommend this place if you like to stay in the nature and relax.

We stayed 7 nights at Kuwera Eco Lodge and it was FABULOUS! The team looked after us so well, made us feel at home, treated us with little surprises, and took care to ensure they served a variety of different dishes throughout our stay. Kasuni, especially, was a delightful host, she arranged for us to get involved with hand-making lanterns for Vesak Poya, shared cultural insights and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Ruwin also made us feel very welcome with his generous smile and friendly manner. We used Kuwera Eco Lodge as a base and enjoyed a number of day tours with Malan, Kuwera's driver, who explained the sites we were passing and also shared personal insights into his culture and family. We highly recommend the cooking class - it was a memorable and delicious way to learn about traditional Sri Lankan cuisine! Be sure to take some time to simply sit by the pool and let the 'locals' entertain you - nestled in the forest, there is an abundance of wildlife going about their daily activities all around you. The amenities and meals are excellent, terrific value for money, and the rooms are very clean, quiet and comfortable. We are so grateful to the entire team at Kuwera - our stay was incredibly special, a week that we will remember forever!

A memorable stay for us in Kuwera Eco Lodge, from start to finish. We received a warm welcome from all staff members - they were smily and kind at all times, and catered to our every need. Our individual lodges were delightful: fresh, pretty & safeguarded from bugs. The bathroom facilities are the best we have come across on our 10-day trip so far, with a fantastically powerful shower! Breakfast and dinner were Sri Lankan and we particularly enjoyed the morning omelettes with lentil “wade” cookies 🍪 We also enjoyed a dip in the pool, given the heat of the day. With thanks to all for their hospitality - can recommend this place.

We had an incredible stay at Kuwera Eco Lodge. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us arrange transport and give us local recommendations. The food was excellent and plentiful, and the room was lovely. Fantastic facilities, all very clean and nicely finished. Beautiful pool area too. Really well situated in the jungle with lots of wildlife to watch. Sigiriya Rock and all the main sites are just a short tuktuk ride away. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kuwera to anyone and would love to come back!

This was our favorite stay during our eight days in Sri Lanka. The village location, excellent service, and beautiful facilities make it a haven in an area with lots to do, and lots of tourists. A great choice for those who are comfortable staying close to nature.

Excellent food and great overall facilities!

22 members of our family (4 generations) stayed here for a special birthday celebration and had the time of our lives! We would definitely recommend Kuwera Eco Lodge. Its eco-credentials are genuine, yet the place still feels luxurious. Lodges are well designed and allowed our group members some privacy during the 10-day stay; while the central area - open air under a wooden canopy - was a great place for communal eating, cocktails, singing, dancing, board games and more. Food was absolutely excellent with a daily fixed menu of authentic local dishes (most produce is grown locally too) and lots of variety to suit everyone. Some of us enjoyed learning more at the lunchtime cookery course (don't have a big breakfast if you're doing that!). We made good use of the good-sized clean pool too, which is very pretty, surrounded by trees, with plenty of comfy shady seating. The location is 4 hours drive from the main Colombo airport: driving conditions can be hair-raising, so Kuwera's own car & driver are recommended. Its close to Lion Rock and a good national park for elephant safari trips. We also did a longer day trip to Kandy where the tea plantation was a highlight. Finally, the stand-out feature of Kuwera Eco Lodge is definitely its wonderful, wonderful staff. Everyone from 4 months to 85 years of age was made to feel totally welcomed here, nothing was too much trouble, they kept the place clean & tidy while organising trips, drinks, laundry etc at all hours and ensuring we could relax and have fun. Kuwera lodge is our favorite hotel we have stayed in, in Sri Lanka. We arrived during the cyclone, making it quite a stressful drive up to Sigiryia but on arrival we were welcomed with smiling faces and an amazing dinner! Throughout our stay the team helped us organise all of our trips, arranged drivers for us and transport to other areas of the country. The team were amazing, always on hand to help. We had dinner at the lodge each night and wow each night was different and amazing! It was lovely feeling like you were sat in a jungle, lovely and peaceful with amazing food. The service was one of a kind. The lodges are lovely with lots of windows allowing you to wake up to the jungle, bathrooms were great, specially the shower it was lovely. Only thing, arrive at the lodge before 5pm, arriving at night can be a little dangerous with elephants around.
