Maurice and and Angela stay at golden rainbow guest house for two nights was incredible our host kumara and family are the most hospitality people also so the property is a short walk to the caves best breakfast we have had in Sri Lanka this place we highly recommended love and light

Amazing guesthouse, such a lovely family who were very accommodating and sorted out transport and trips for us. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner where they served authentic sri lankan food good portions and such flavour to the food. The guesthouse is surrounded by nature and wildlife with lizards and monkeys all around. location is great, 5 minute walk from Dambulla cave Temple and 25 min drive into Sigirya. Rooms and areas was incredibly clean and at night you could hear the nature around which was so amazing. Couldn’t fault this place, just stopped by for a night in Dambulla and is the perfect spot for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing authentic experience where the family is so lovely.

If you are looking for authentic srilankan meal , then there cannot be a better place than this

the owner picked us up in a tuk tuk and brought us to his restaurant. he was really nice and the food was amazing and the portions were a great size after we ate he brought out a fruit platter aswell! all in all a great place and lovely service

This place is just wonderful. I spend 3 nights here and would have loved to stay longer. You get very good local food which will leave you with a full belly. The tempel of cave and the golden buddha are very close. Like a 7min walking distance and the center 20min. The staff is very nice and helpful in everything you need.

It was very nice at Kumaras place! He is very friendly and helped us a lot to organise trips around Dambulla! Rooms are very comfortable. Also the food is awesome (best papayas on the island! He will open soon a restaurant at his place, highly recommend!

Rooms are set in a beautiful garden, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Complimentary kettle and tea were a nice touch. The bathroom could have been a little more spacious. The location is excellent — just a short walk to the Dambulla Cave Temple. The owner was helpful in arranging tours and tuk-tuk/taxi services. Note: There are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby, so plan meals and essentials in advance. Carrying some cereal or bread can help save time in the morning.
