Expected better than what we ended up with. I felt like I was walking back in time, just something about this hotel made me feel like I was 10 again. The vibe, the aura, the age of people, the decor, the lack of modern conveniences like WIFI. For me, things that will get a hotel a bad rating are lack of WIFI, lack of cleanliness, service that is not aligned with the price point paid. Unfortunately this hotel doesn't get a passing score in those areas. It was not a horrible hotel. It was safe, it had access to the sea. I just think the staff might want to go to a branded hotel and stay and see the difference on how outstanding customer service is done, how cleanliness in all areas (beach, dining areas, rooms, common areas) makes a difference and where one area is lacking it brings down the whole experience. I feel the hotel is about a 7 out of 10, the wifi problems made it a poor choice for me. Recommendations: If you do stay here, don't do the half-board and don't expect presentation of breakfast or dinner to be other than lack luster. Things we thought were acceptable + Proximity to the Sea / Beach + The front desk (think manager / owner) was pleasant + Free Parking Disliked - WIFI. If you are dependent on reliable WIFI as I am, this is not the hotel or stay for you. It was so bad, we had to find another hotel to stay one night at so I could have reliable WIFI to do a video call. We did not bother checking out of this hotel, just ate the cost and paid for another Dassia hotel (Branded Chain Hotel). They had great WIFI and cold AC. - Cleanliness. The eating areas were not very clean, table cloths with same stains at the same table for days. some days the water they mopped with left a pungent smell, not what you want in a eating area - Beds. If you like extra firm. You will like the beds. - Stray unhygienic cats wondering in the eating area begging for food. I like cats, but these cats looked like something out of a horror movie (bloody, mangled ears and eyes). - The half-board menu was bland and predictable, lots of carbohydrates (rice, potatoes) sometime both in the same plate. Presentation could be better. At no other time in 35 years of staying at hotels and having half-board have we ever stopped going to dinner like we did here. We opted for local Gyros instead. Food isn't horrible, just full of carbohydrates and served in a lackluster way. What really showed their attitude toward the half board clients as second class citizens was that we were not allowed to sit in the first row tables outside nearest the beach. Also, they have a big ice cream selection at the bar but we were serviced fruit every night mostly water melon. - Interestingly or by coincidence the Air Con went off a half hour before check out. The lights stayed on and electricity was on but the AC magically stopped working when there was no signs of any problems. It did do the trick of getting us to leave faster. Even when it did operate it struggled to
