Yu'an Jing Hotel

How should I put it? During the summer, in a popular tourist spot, the prices are seriously inflated. Nearly 700 for one night, when it's essentially just a newer budget hotel, and the bathroom even leaked. The hotel is in the same building as two others, but it's convenient for getting to Datong Ancient City. There are electric scooters right outside, and it's just over 1 km to the ancient city.

We booked two rooms for two nights, and my parents really liked the hotel. We wanted to extend our stay for another day, but unfortunately, it was already fully booked. The hotel is not far from the ancient city, and check-in was very comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, including sliced noodles, lamb offal soup, and wontons, as well as Chinese and Western options – I really enjoyed it! The restaurant staff were also very diligent, clearing and cleaning tables quickly and thoroughly, paying great attention to detail! The room decor was simple yet elegant, featuring a smart toilet, and thoughtfully provided with disposable toilet seat covers (which deserves a huge thumbs-up), truly excelling in attention to detail! The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary water and drinks, and the room also had complimentary Datong specialty snacks (dried apricots and almonds). The hairdryer also had strong airflow. We drove from the hotel to the Yungang Grottoes quickly using our navigation. In summary, this hotel offers great value for money. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Datong.

This hotel is perfect for families. Our room, facing the community parking lot, was very quiet. The hygiene was excellent, and the facilities were brand new. They even provided complimentary snacks, the sour apricots were so delicious that I immediately bought more online! The staff even brought me a few extra bags. The room also came with laundry detergent, and there's a communal restroom on each floor. All these little details were perfectly executed.

The hotel has a great location, very convenient for visiting the old town. The service is excellent, and the staff are polite and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, and parking was easy. The only thing I think could be improved is adding a shelf for personal items and a sofa in the room. There wasn't enough space to put things, and the room only had one chair and a small stool, which wasn't very practical overall.

After comparing many hotels, I finally chose this one because they truly put a lot of effort into everything, from the facilities to the small details and cleanliness. During my stay, I often saw what seemed to be the manager discussing various issues with the front desk in the lobby, which shows they're genuinely dedicated to running a good hotel. The cleaning staff were also very enthusiastic. The hotel's location is convenient; it's about a ten-minute walk to the old city, and there's plenty of free parking. The breakfast, in particular, was comprehensive and delicious. My only minor critique is about the design of the three-room courtyard suite: why isn't one of the rooms a family room? When booking a courtyard suite, it's usually for a family trip, and most families have children. Having two 1.8m beds and one standard room for a family with kids is indeed a bit cramped.

The hygiene is excellent, the staff are very enthusiastic, and the facilities are complete. However, it's quite a distance from the ancient city, so you'll need an electric scooter to get around. Luckily, there's a scooter rental right outside the door. It's also close to a residential area, which makes buying necessities and finding food quite convenient.

Not inside the ancient city but not far from it. Parking is convenient, the room is spacious, and breakfast is delicious! I even extended my stay for another night!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the ancient city, just a 5-minute walk away. Although it's newly opened, there's no unpleasant smell. The decor is simple and minimalist, with a clean and airy feel. The rooms are equipped with a full set of smart devices, which is very convenient. The TV is large, and the mattress is incredibly comfortable, offering a perfect balance of softness and support, ensuring a fully relaxing night's sleep until morning. The breakfast is also fantastic. Room hygiene is meticulously maintained, and the hot water in the bathroom is consistent. Parking is easy. This hotel offers incredible value for money and is highly suitable for tourists. I'll definitely prioritize it for my next trip!
