First Forest Hot Spring Hotel FLOWER BAY

I took my kids on vacation during the summer holidays and returned to this hotel, which I'd visited many years ago. I had a good impression of it back then, so we came again, and it didn't disappoint this time either. The hotel proactively upgraded our room, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. What's even better is that the room had a drying rack, which was so convenient! Plus, the hotel's hot spring access is unlimited, which is a rare find. The hotel's surroundings are also very convenient, with many restaurants nearby, making dining easy. And the best part is that the area where the hotel is located was very cool during our stay, so we didn't even need to use the air conditioning at night. The kids already want to come back next year! 😊

This hotel really exceeded my expectations... and not in a good way. For a room costing over 800 yuan a night, it was hard to even find the hotel entrance. After checking in, I had to go next door and navigate through a bunch of confusing corridors to get to my room. The 'loft' room basically meant the bathroom was downstairs and the bed upstairs, with a small soaking tub outside. The room itself was old and damp, and the two separate air conditioners were a pain – uncomfortable when blowing directly on you, but even worse if you turned them off. The only redeeming qualities were the two private sulfur hot spring soaks and a small kids' play area outside. Everything else was a letdown. Don't even get me started on breakfast; although it was a buffet, everything was pretty unappetizing. Plus, it's mostly occupied by long-term summer residents, and the location is hard to find. Honestly, don't pay hotel prices for this place. If it were around 100 yuan a night as a summer rental, maybe, but otherwise, don't expect anything.

We were there for a weekend trip. The comfort room was a bit old-fashioned, but the hotel's hot spring was decent, with bubble pools and a glass slide which the kids really enjoyed. It was nice and cool outside in the evening, perfect for setting off fireworks. There were also plenty of dining options nearby; the glutinous rice balls with fermented grains were delicious, and the hot pot was pretty good too! By the way, the First Village Hot Spring Hotel and the Forest Hot Spring Hotel are actually different areas of the same hotel. The unlimited hot spring pass for 2 adults and 1 child (including the infinity pool) was a great deal.

The rooms were quiet and clean, and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed the unlimited hot spring access; both the kids and the elderly had a wonderful time. The breakfast buffet was extensive and catered to everyone's tastes. For lunch and dinner, they offered a rotating menu of three dishes and one soup, with no repeats during our five-night stay. Overall, we were very satisfied. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom drain was a bit small, causing water to pool during showers.

The experience at Huashuiwan First Village Hot Spring Forest Hotel exceeded my expectations! The hotel is surrounded by dense forest, and the rooms are quite clean, ensuring a peaceful and comfortable sleep. ♨️ There's a wide variety of natural hot springs nestled in the woods, and after a soak, I felt completely relaxed and refreshed. The unique glass walkway in the park is actually a glass boat pathway over the lake, where you can ride small boats through glass waterways, offering a novel and incredibly fun way to enjoy the lakeside scenery. It’s a one-stop shop for dining, accommodation, and entertainment with abundant recreational activities, making it perfect for a short getaway. Highly recommended!

The room was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. Soaking in the hot springs while watching the fireworks felt absolutely amazing. Plus, the surrounding environment is beautiful, and the snack street is bustling with activity.

The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the hot water temperature was decent. The breakfast selection was quite rich, and the hot spring water temperature was also good. Traveling during the off-season was very comfortable; if there had been too many people, the experience might have been diminished.

The hotel is a bit old, but it's only a 30-minute drive from Xiling Snow Mountain. There are plenty of restaurants and small shops right outside, which is very convenient. However, Didi (ride-sharing) in Sichuan is a bit of a rip-off. They always charge extra for return trips to farther destinations. I called Didi three times, and each driver tried to arrange an off-app transaction. I've used Didi in Foshan, Guangzhou, and Hainan Island, and never encountered anything like this before.

We'd been talking about coming for a hot spring getaway for a while, so we specifically chose a weekday to avoid the crowds, and it was perfect – not too busy, not too empty. The hot spring experience was great; there were many pools, each with its own unique charm. The outdoor pools had beautiful scenery and the water temperature was very comfortable. While the room facilities weren't brand new, they were incredibly clean and tidy. You could tell this established hotel really puts effort into its upkeep and quality. The buffet breakfast was also extensive with a great selection of items. Overall, for this price, it was truly excellent value for money!
