Novotel Hotels in Deauville

We could not be more disappointed in the hotel. The room is tiny as is the bathroom. We are in one of their nicest rooms. I would had to see a standard room. The front desk staff was professional and nice but it stopped there. The concierge was grumpy and acted like he was doing me a favor. We had a snack and drink in the bar which is a nice spot. Also, the hotel is not on the beach as advertised. We would never stay here again.

This 4* hotel is situated between Deauville and Trouville adjacent to the Deauville marina , which at this time of year was full of yachts etc. The room was a privilege room which meant we enjoyed certain extras. The room itself was of a reasonable size and being a wheelchair user quite accessible in terms of its facilities although you would need to be able to transfer from wheelchair to shower chair which was a bit of a squeeze. The room also had a south east facing balcony and we enjoyed our morning breakfast sitting out and watching the world go by , and also the lovely view of the marina. The room was very well decorated to a high standard and also provided was a small fridge which came in handy on the warmer days. Our room was kept clean and serviced to an exceptionally high standard and the bed was very comfortable resulting in some very goodnights sleep. We did not eat at the hotel as we do not have a substantial breakfast although it's fair to say the dinig room was very popular every morning. In the evenings there is such an overwhelming choice of eateries it was difficult to know where to start. All in all a pleasant stay, the staff were friendly although I have to say the entrance has a step if you have a wheelchair ,however if required a ramp is available. As we did not require a ramp being able to negotiate the step (quite small) we were taken aback by the reluctance of some of the staff to assist in holding the door open- this required my wife to enter obtain the wooden chock to open and keep the door open . One or two individuals did however assist and this would not in itself put us off returning which we hope to do next year. As they say manners maketh man. All in all a lovely staff in an elegant comfortable room centrally located for both Deauville and Trouville. A very enjoyable stay.

If you spend the night in this city, it's a great hotel. The location is very good, the surroundings are very quiet, and there are very good restaurants nearby. If you had stayed here, you would not have chosen another hotel.

Firstly, we found the staff to be pleasant however this is a very poor 3 star hotel. It needs modernisation. The location is not great if you are a tourist who wants to explore the local area of Deauville because you will need your car for this. However, if your business is horses then you are right in the middle of this farming industry.

The property is literally 6 minutes walking from the railway station and 10 minutes from the beach. All other places are in and around. The housekeeping staff is impeccable, the reception staff is helpful and friendly and you can leave your valuables without a doubt. Only thing missing is mini bar and a safe, but still this hotel is worth every penny.

Simply smart, clean, tasteful and friendly. Our first visit to Deauville and we chose such a great place to stay, for lots of reasons. Good price, pleasant, professional staff. Clean pool and spa area. We had breakfast in our apartment and found local boulangeries etc.. very easily. Ate at local restaurants, also very good.

The Hotel Barrière Royal Deauville is a real Grandhotel with the perfect service. From check in to check out the hotel you get a perfect, unset service as guest. Quality of food at breakfast of high quality. Restaurant like a large ballroom in warm colours and views towards the beach. Outdoor pool with service and very good beds. Sauna and steam bath small but renewed. Very good concierge service. Thank you especially Mr. Sagot and Sophie, who are always there for the guest. We are clearly prefering the Royal to the Partner Hotel Normandy. Happy Easter 2022!

Great location right by the marina and good access to local restaurants and shops. Staff were friendly and attentive. Parking available at cost but small car park. Maybe worth booking in advance if that’s possible. Breakfast was good selection including on one day, a hot breakfast. All food regularly replenished. Rooms well equipped and good size with good air con. Slept well in comfortable bed. Thoroughly recommend.
