We had a wonderful stay at the Inn with our two Dalmatian 8 week old puppies! Very comfortable for both puppies and My wife and I. We arrived very late but had access to room with easy instructions. The next morning, had a wonderful breakfast delivered to our room before our departure. Would highly recommend Inn and look forward to a future visit. Stephen and Ann Kroll

The boards in the floor have a muted creak under the carpets. The public rooms look like they are out of a spotlessly maintained revolutionary -colonial - Victorian movie set. The one person desk staff is stuck in a cubby in the parlor but there, smiling and helpful. Each room has a name connected to Deerfield history. Ours had furnishings and period wallpaper that was perfect. The air conditioned room was perfect and the bed was great. Champneys restaurant while not glamorous well served its purpose. Felt like a step back into history. In an incredibly beautiful historical village almost impossible to find anywhere. It was perfect.

I hated it. Super flowery with very thin walls. Staff were very friendly, so I felt quite welcomed, but it wasn’t enough to turn the experience around. I could hear stuff happening in about five different rooms around me, and the tv was very hard to use. Overall, if you are stuck driving through a snowstorm, consider coming here but just know that a flowery room, thin walls, a small room, a bad tv, and just an overall rough experience are soon to come.

Although we did not stay overnight in this lovely hotel, we did have a fine meal in their Champney's Restaurant. Our server, Amber, was gracious and friendly. My pecan-crusted salmon from the Faroe Islands was absolutely delicious, served with a great risotto. My wife had a falafel wrap. The atmosphere here was relaxing, even with a full crowd at the bar. It is a bustling place, in fact the only restaurant in the historic town. We loved it and want to come back soon.

We rented two rooms for three nights as part of my mother's 90th birthday celebration. The rooms were well-appointed and very comfortable. (The flowery wallpaper may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it does add to a sense of stepping back in time, which is all part of the experience when staying at a historic inn.) The staff was friendly and helpful. We appreciated the option to order from a larger breakfast menu when we wanted more than what was offered with the continental breakfast. Afternoon cookies in the lobby, sitting on the front porch, walking up and down the beautiful tree-lined Old Main Street - it all made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Lovely, small inn from 1884 adjacent to the Deerfield Academy grounds and among the Historic Deerfield buildings. Lots of charming details and touches like the Afternoon Tea from 2:30 - 5:00 pm with cookies and small dessert bars for hotel guests or pay a fee for visitors. Pros: - The carafe of ice water in the room and Biscoff cookies - very much appreciated - Elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor where the rooms were located. Bookshelf of books. - Keurig coffee / tea on the 2nd floor for 24 hours coffee/tea service plus business center with computer and printer. - Room 143 Cora Carlisle on the 2nd floor - lovely, spacious, and comfortable - Plenty of hot water and huge bath towels - Bed was comfortable and room was quiet - Champney's margarita flight was quite good and big enough to share. - Continental breakfast included - muffin, melon sliced fruit, plain yogurt, coffee - The porch with chairs was very nice to sit outside and there was a sitting area with games and a puzzle in the lobby - Air conditioning and heat - room was comfortable - Parking in front of the hotel Cons: - The sink faucet/taps and shower tap metal was a bit discolored with the gold tone worn away. Everything worked fine though. - The string to lower the blinds next to the toilet was non-existent. - Additional housekeeping gratuity added to the bill - The Continental breakfast could have been improved with more fruit (other than cantaloupe and green melon), hard boiled egg. There wasn't a lot of food put out and the coffee was a bit watery. - Slight musty smell downstairs made me cough but rooms were fine. Overall, Deerfield was a charming, historic hotel and I would stay again and come on a Wednesday - Saturday to visit historic Deerfield buildings.

We visited this in for Mother's Day in 2021 and had a wonderful experience so we decided to return to celebrate Mother's Day as we have family in the area. We were quite disappointed and will not return. For the price we paid $400-500 dollars/night we expected better customer service. Our main complaint was we had booked the mother's day brunch for the 8 of us at Champions. Check out is at 11am and we asked if we could have late check out so we could enjoy our lunch and return to the room to freshen up before our travels. We were informed there would be an $100 fee for this. Really!! After spending the money on property for brunch they couldn't accommodate us without a fee. Furthermore- If we went past the allotted time we would then be charged a full night fee. There were also some minor complaints that wouldn't have bothered me in a less expensive hotel but for what they are charging they should have at least had one full length mirror in the room and a second key for each room. I have never written a bad review so I sent an email to the innkeeper to give them a chance to respond which went unanswered. The folks that work at the inn are nice but I'd rather spend the money next year off property. The brunch was delicious and reasonably priced at $60/head with excellent service. Go for the brunch and the nice setting

The Inn is clean, quiet and comfortable and located right in the center of old Deerfield adjacent the Deerfield Academy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very good and packed on a Wednesday night ( maybe for the $1 oysters, which were excellent). Well worth staying there if you are staying in the area.

An amazing place to stay, everything was perfect. What stood out to me first was the quality of service. Every single employee went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. When we requested off hour tea, they offered to bring it to our room so that we wouldn't have to carry it. When we asked for help with activity planning, they spent time with us to make sure we enjoyed the time there. We stayed in the Asa Stebbins room itself was cozy and perfect. They have afternoon tea and cookies served in a delightful sitting room (games, piano, view out to the quaint main road). We ate a lunch and two dinners there, and the quality and value of the meal was amazing. As for activities, we had plenty to do, but you should do your own research. The place is worth visiting for the "vibe" alone. We will definitely stay at this inn again!
