We had a group booking at this hotel while attending a minor hockey tournament in London. Although a bit of a drive for the games, the hotel itself was excellent and I didn't mind the extra driving time. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. One great thing was that they had a designated hospitality area set up on the lower level by the pool so that we could gather and wouldn't be as disruptive to other guests. The common areas and rooms were clean, beds/pillows comfortable and the hotel was quiet (despite multiple teams staying that weekend). It was also conveniently located just off the highway and close to many restaurants and shopping. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Brantford for five days during a recent visit to the Ontario area. The hotel is a new-ish complex off the highways with convenient access and a fast food complex (Tims, Wendys, KFC, Taco Bell, Indian) within walking distance. The design of the property is to incorporate a few more kitchen-style amenities into a larger room ideal for longer stays (think basement suite but in a hotel). The hotel has a pool with excellent access times (no hot tub), and it also has a fitness center accessible 24/7 along with several meeting rooms for events. Front desk staff (all of them) during check in, extending stay and overall assistance were great. For some reason, one of our key cards deactivated a few times over the course of our stay, which was quickly resolved in both cases. The room was spacious and equipped with a medium sized fridge, freezer, microwave, dishes and cutlery for use. You are able to rent for free a hot plate and cookware if needed (we did not opt to). The furnishings were very nice and modern, the accommodations were clean (sheets, etc.) overall. The only minor faults I noticed were utensils not completely clean - some had water stains and slight residue from prior use. We were very comfortable nevertheless and the blinds were great at keeping the sunlight out. Breakfast was a good offering, however I do have a bit of an issue that it was offered as a “hot breakfast”, The general norm I've come to understand is that a hot breakfast will include hot proteins like eggs, bacon… the only things that were hot were the oatmeal, DIY waffles, toast and breakfast sandwiches after heating them up in the microwave. They also did not rotate or offer variety over the course of the stay (five nights) which became a bit tiresome. Moreover, you have to be on time for breakfast, as they will pull the curtains on you (quite literally) at 9:30. A suggestion to elevate this to a stellar offering would be to consider incorporating a few hot trays (eggs, bacon, sausage) and rotate them with the breakfast sandwiches. Also, some folks felt rushed to grab items at 9:30, so perhaps an extension to 10am may be helpful for late risers. Can't give half circles - a one night stay would've been a 5, but it trended down a bit given the longer stay. Overall, despite the downfalls (which were minor in the grand scheme of things), provided you mix up your breakfast and eat out every now and then for longer stays, the Home2 Suites Brantford is a very good showing indicative of its current rating on TripAdvisor. The value is really good for what you receive, that is if you are willing to be a further distance away from the GTA and Niagara Falls area. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful. I had forgotten my shaving cream and I was able to get some at the front desk. The room was clean and it was nice and quiet. An enjoyable stay.

I liked the hotel with the themed rooms. It's a neat idea but I was expecting the rooms to be a bit more immersive in the chosen theme. The room was clean and quite quiet even though it faced a fairly busy street. The A/C unit was intermittently making odd noises so I turned it off. The TV is a little obsolete and would not allow me to stream content from my phone. The beds were firm and comfortable. I thought it strange that there were no facial tissues at hand in the room. A nice to have would have been a kettle/coffee machine in the room. The buffet breakfast was Ok. Overall I enjoyed the room experience. The same cannot be said about our dining experience at edit. In short, it was horrible and if it hadn't been my wife's birthday and my being fatigued from a full day of hiking I would have sent our meals back and walked out of the restaurant. I ordered the salmon and my wife ordered the steak. The steak was really chewy and tough. My salmon was way overcooked. The skin was the texture of cardboard. It came on a bed of chick peas with a creamy sauce which in turn was literally floating in a pool of some unspecified green slime. The presentation was extremely off-putting I am sorry to say. As I was quite hungry at the time I did my best to eat what I could. As I mentioned, the salmon was overcooked to the point of being dry. The green sauce essentially swallowed up the chick peas after my first couple of tastes. There was no indication what the green sauce was derived from but I eventually figured out it was some kind of cilantro puree. Full disclosure, I am one of those people who really doesn't like cilantro and would not have ordered the salmon had the menu disclosed that ingredient. The best part of the meal was the Ceasar salad we had for our appetizer. Also, the wait staff were very nice and attentive.

This is in a great location to hit downtown for food, drink, shopping and close to Port Burwell beach. The bed was very comfy. The room and hotel is very dated. It was very clean but just really dated. Toilet was running and dripping most of the night and the exhaust fan kept jamming and grinding when using it in the bathroom. Also, don't come expecting a breakfast. You can get a bag with yogurt and a granola bar to go, and I was told you can get a frozen breakfast sandwich to reheat. However, after they ran out of cream at 8:30 a.m. So yeah, comfy place, just make sure you are coming to sleep and expect nothing else! McDonalds and Tims are 5 minutes away so plan your breakfast there!
