Very nice, friendly staff. The whole hotel looks newly decorated. We had three rooms, two of which had brand new furnishings and bathrooms. The third room looked like it was in the process of renovation and was awaiting new furniture but the old stuff was fine.
Staff were excellent. Very polite and helpful. Food was very good and the restaurant was well run.
Next time we visit the area we will be looking to book this hotel again.

Staff at the hotel were very friendly and obliging There was a great choice of food on our breakfast menu. The only complaint I had was my pillows were very uncomfortable and disturbed my sleep.

The room was an upgrade but was really unhappy with the mould around the bath was very bad
A 5 pound mould spray would have eliminated that in 20 minutes so guests would not need to look at it

The hotel is great but the restaurant really lets it down.
Don’t get me wrong the dinner was good but we were kept waiting in the bar, had to order food from the bar and then found several empty tables would could have sat at to wait, but the staff wouldn’t allow it.
Breakfast was also disappointing for a full English.

Excellent hotel on the fringes of the lake district. Great restaurant for an evening meal as well. Room was comfortable and clean and was nice and quiet at night.

We had a lovely stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Dinner was excellent, and bedroom was spacious, quiet with a very comfortable bed. Would certainly stay again.
