Great spot! Located just on the side of Yubeng that's on the way to the glacier lake trail. Views from rooms were amazing. There's also multiple laundry machines for people traveling with limited amounts of hiking clothes. There were always several staff members onsite to assist with whatever you may need. Food from the hotel's restaurant was diverse, affordable and tasty.

The facilities were just alright, and there weren't enough bathrooms. Front desk service was also pretty standard. I asked the owner, who seemed like a regular guy, about places to eat nearby. He suggested a few spots that were a decent walk away – not too far to be exhausting, but certainly not just around the corner. The hostel's WiFi was hit-or-miss; sometimes it connected fine, but other times the signal was weak. Streaming videos would occasionally buffer, though it wasn't a constant issue. Basically, most of the time I could use my phone as I pleased, but sometimes I'd have to wait a few seconds.

The room's cleanliness was absolutely appalling!! I booked a first-floor room, but was assigned a basement room instead – completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was a constant, loud gurgling sound from the drains right outside the window. And worst of all, the pillow had dried boogers on it 😭

The host offers incredibly thoughtful and attentive service, even providing late-night pick-ups from the airport or train station. The room itself is quite quiet, and the place is adorned with a beautiful variety of succulents. The bathroom facilities, however, could definitely use some improvement. There was also a surprisingly large 'resident' fly that we had to lock in the bathroom at night. But given the very affordable price, it still offers excellent value for money.
