No air conditioner in summer and very hot

Roooms are clean and tidy, prices as competitive as can be but the big difference is the service. Catherine in particular could not have been more helpful l. Helped with rooms l, beds, early check in, nothing was too much trouble. It was such a nice gesture

This entire hotel is dirty!!!! Besides being very run down, everywhere I looked was grubby:( the reception area was dirty, stains all over the very dated tiles on the floor, the chairs and carpet were filthy. The carpets, walls, doors and door handles are dirty in the hallways. The room was given a very quick once over with dirt in the corners and hairs in the basin and bath. The room stank of smoke. The aircon didn’t work (or had been switched off) with a very weak fan placed in the room, in this heat 😡 Was too scared to try the food. Went to McDonald’s next door. Very disappointed.

Premier.Inn, as usual was fine. On this visit the room was hot abd stuffy, window only opened a little and tge fan provided was extremely ineffective.

Just back from a two day stay while visiting National Trust properties in the area which were very good. Stuart; Hannah and the rest of the staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble, and considering they were so busy while we were there, the girls working at times under so much pressure in the restaurant, and most of the time on their own. Breakfast and evening meals were good, rooms were more than adequate for our stay.. Could not believe how friendly they all were and made sure our visit was the best.

I booked into the Premier Inn as my brother was unwell in the hospital a short walk away and I needed to be nearby. The lady on check in couldn’t have done enough to help me when I told her why I needed the room. Just so kind. The room was spacious and very clean with a really comfortable bed. The next day my brother had become more unwell so I booked a further night stay that morning. Sadly during the afternoon my brother died so the room was no longer required but I’d missed the threshold to cancel my stay. The staff in the hotel were very helpful giving me the details of who I needed to contact to ask regarding a refund. Two days later I contacted Customer relations and spoke to an man called Ron. He was so compassionate and caring. He not only managed a refund for me but sent me the most delightful email offering his condolences. I couldn’t have wished for better service. It restored my faith in humanity. Thank you so so much
