LlizzywishAndaz is a reliable choice in every aspect. After my stay in Xiamen, I once again checked into Andaz Nanjing.
🔆 Service: As always, I received personalized butler service beforehand. Even before I arrived, they had already booked my lunch. Even during the peak holiday season, they generously provided double sets of children's amenities. Later, my husband complained that the bed was too soft and caused back pain, and they smoothly flipped the mattress to the firmer side and provided a separate mattress pad for 'sleeping on the sofa' (jokingly said as an extra comfort option for the sofa if needed). 👀 The young men at the concierge desk were all incredibly helpful and left a deep impression. 👍
🔆 Facilities: Since the hotel is still relatively new, the overall aesthetic is very pleasing. The gym and pool are perfectly adequate and beautiful; my son went swimming every night for three consecutive days. During the May Day peak, the 6th-floor restaurant showed signs of being under capacity, but the hotel thoughtfully opened the 31st-floor dining area in advance, making breakfast a very pleasant experience.
🔆 Location: I primarily came to watch a Super League match, and the hotel is only about 1.2 kilometers from the Olympic Sports Center, which is very convenient. Downstairs, there's the IFC for shopping, a supermarket, and a subway station, making everything easily accessible.
🔆 Dining: Breakfast isn't exceptionally extensive, but the quality is excellent. Personally, I prefer this 'less is more' approach. Especially the semi-buffet where you can order various egg dishes and small main courses; each one was delightful in color, aroma, and taste, and even the kids gave them a thumbs-up. Behind the front desk, there's a small lounge with all-day soft drinks, and from 5 PM, they offer a small selection of exquisite pastries and champagne – hooray! I had a piece of cheesecake with a retro biscuit base that was absolutely amazing. We also had a meal at the Chinese restaurant, and the Nanjing dishes like salted duck and Yangzhou fried rice were authentic and refined.
The only minor drawback was that the young staff at the front desk seemed to be experiencing such a high-intensity, high-density workload during May Day for the first time, appearing a bit rushed, but they were all very diligent. Keep up the good work!~
