AAnonymous UserThese days, city getaways are all the rage, so I brought my family from downtown to stay at the Amanyangyun. It truly feels like a vacation even though we're still in Shanghai. Overall, the staff's service attitude is excellent, especially those at breakfast and the bar who were proactive, service-minded, and very thoughtful. The spa massage was also incredibly relaxing, and my masseuse, Helen Xu, was very friendly. The day before we left, we met a female staff member named Ms. Wan at the Nan Shu Fang. She gave us a detailed tour and explained the history and stories behind the Nan Shu Fang, leaving us with a wonderful impression. We'll definitely bring the family back if we have the chance. The only downside was the noticeable airplane noise on Friday night, though we didn't experience it the day before. However, given its proximity to the airport, it's probably unavoidable.

LLiulianjunaibujideyemaThe Kimpton Qiantan is nestled in the heart of the Qiantan CBD, boasting a prime riverside location with captivating views of the West Bund skyline. It's also quite conveniently located. Our room featured a minimalist modern style, with dark tones giving off a sophisticated vibe from the bedroom to the bathroom. The retractable TV and minibar were particularly fun, and the fireplace-like lighting under the TV cabinet along with the automatically extending desk added a touch of futuristic flair. The four-poster bed had a very modern aesthetic, and the bedding was quite comfortable. The room also came equipped with a Geneva sound system and smart home controls. The bathroom showcased a dark-toned design, but was a bit small, featuring a single basin. The amenities were from Blooom Aromas and had a pleasant scent. The smart toilet was located on the other side of the hallway, making it slightly less convenient to use. The hotel's best feature is undoubtedly its rooftop infinity pool overlooking the Huangpu River. On summer evenings, at sunset, it's the perfect spot to take in the stunning river views, with the West Bund opposite and Qiantan on this side, as the river flows gently beneath you. My partner and I checked in late in the evening, and the hotel staff's attentive and caring service left a deep impression on us. Overall, I would definitely return for another stay!

GGuest UserPerfect location! You can take a ferry for just 2 RMB to the Oriental Pearl Tower across the river. The service was attentive and thoughtful. The breakfast restaurant offers views of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The food was fresh and clean, and a very enthusiastic server even recommended a new way for me to enjoy my coffee. Plus, the freshly ground Italian coffee is my absolute favorite; it's definitely on par with Ruixing (Luckin Coffee) across the street. The front desk also upgraded my room, saving me money as it was much cheaper than booking through ***********. This Shanghai trip was absolutely beautiful, and choosing this hotel was a beautiful decision. The hotel's name is beautiful, the front desk ladies are beautiful, the location is beautiful, and the view from the window is beautiful. It made me fall in love with the beauty of Shanghai. I love Shanghai!

GGuest UserI practically stay here every time I'm in Shanghai for business. **Ambiance:** Right by the river, which is super convenient for me since I run every day. **Facilities:** The restaurant on the first floor is very handy, especially their great coffee, and they even offer member pricing. **Cleanliness:** The room was as clean as ever, and the facilities were all in good order. **Service:** From the moment I checked in, I was really happy. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and they even prepared water for me at both check-in and check-out. Very satisfied!

YytymilanI originally thought I might see snow on the Shanghai Tower during the cold snap, but it turned out to be a no-show… So, let's talk about the hotel itself. I feel like 1/3 of the room rate goes to the high-altitude view, 1/3 to the breakfast and fitness facilities, and 1/3 to the room itself. [Rose emoji] Perhaps it was because I had seen a lot of negative reviews before, which lowered my expectations, so staying at J Hotel was a pleasant surprise. First of all, the artwork and decor aren't as tacky as some claim; maybe the front desk is a bit questionable, but the entrance and elevator lobbies have a very distinctive Shanghai style. 🏠 The room is huge, and I personally feel the space is a bit wasted. Sixty-something square meters, and it's already a suite configuration. The bathroom is ridiculously large, even having a dedicated vanity table – you could practically wall off another room! There’s a desk in the room, which is super practical for us 'workhorses'. The welcome fruit was also generous; my son said it was the best strawberry he'd ever eaten 🍓. I specifically checked the details and cleanliness, and the overall maintenance is excellent. The 2-meter king bed easily fits three people, but! The bed frame is so high, combined with the mattress, you have to 'climb' into bed, which isn't very friendly for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. 🍞 The breakfast is definitely in the top three of all the hotels I've stayed at. Chinese, Western, and even Japanese options are available, with excellent quality and presentation. The buffet plus à la carte style offers a wide range of choices; you'll want to try everything, but one day isn't enough. Compared to this, the breakfast at Park Hyatt falls a bit short. 🏊🏻♂️ The pool is on the 84th floor. You need to go to the 85th floor to change and then take the elevator down. The facilities are relatively basic – no children's pool, hot tubs, or sauna, and the pool itself isn't standard-sized. Of course, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Compared to the pool, the gym facilities are much better. It's equipped with a full set of Technogym equipment, including stair climbers, ellipticals, rowing machines, and treadmills. Other machines are also comprehensive; it feels like you could train for a Hyrox event here. 🤵🏻♂️ Service: This is the hotel with the highest staff-to-guest ratio I've ever experienced. No matter where you go, you'll see staff members, and they are all very professional. Jinjiang truly has deep pockets. Comparison: The high-altitude hotels in Lujiazui (the 'Lujiazui Three-Piece Suit') actually have pretty similar views. Of course, only at J can you see the World Financial Center like in Picture 1. Waking up and drawing the curtains, you'll definitely get a case of megalophobia [laugh-cry emoji]. J is the newest and most expensive, and its hardware is undoubtedly the strongest – you get what you pay for. Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt Jin Mao are a bit older. Park Hyatt is more minimalist and elegant, and the rooms are still well-maintained. Grand Hyatt Jin Mao's rooms are slightly cramped, especially the ceiling height, which is a significant drawback. However, if you can get it for around a thousand yuan, it's still worth staying at.

DDollyElaineFor my first staycation after the Chinese New Year, I chose the Bund Edition. I've been here many times before, but only for dining and drinks, so this was my first time actually staying. I booked a Bund view room and was given one of their popular corner rooms. The toiletries provided were all Le Labo, and the service was excellent. Our butler, Colin, was attentive and thoughtful, taking care of every detail. I'll definitely be back next time ❤️

TTianxinbaobeizhuIt was Chinese New Year again, time to visit the Yuyuan Lantern Festival. This year, the festival started from the North and South Plazas of BFC. To ensure we could rest early after seeing the lanterns, I decisively chose to stay at the St. Regis on the Bund, right next to BFC. I had originally booked the Shanghai Style River View Room (Oriental Pearl Tower view), and during check-in, the kind gentleman at the front desk upgraded us to a Deluxe River View Room. It was on a higher floor and centrally located, directly facing the Pudong 'Three Piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyline), offering a fantastic view. After the lantern festival, coming back to capture the stunning night scenery was perfect for photos. Upon entering the room, the butler warmly welcomed us with fresh fruit and thoughtfully provided recommendations for nearby attractions and dining, as well as information about hotel facilities and breakfast times. It was a very considerate touch. The room was spacious, featuring both a shower and a bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak after a tiring day. When we returned from the lantern festival that evening, turndown service had already been completed. Overall, from the hotel room to the butler service, everything exceeded my expectations and made us feel right at home.

KKentlyI've always wanted to visit The House Collective's Shanghai location. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it easy to get around, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. My stay was fantastic, and I was lucky enough to have Kimber provide attentive service during both check-in and check-out. She remembered my preferences, and communication with her was smooth, efficient, and friendly. As for the room, the view speaks for itself. The linens were very comfortable, the mini-bar was well-stocked, and the shower water temperature was stable, contributing to an overall high level of comfort. The handwritten welcome card was a lovely touch, and the handwriting was beautiful! The showerhead was unique; however, the fixed height was a bit low. But standing with my back to the hot spray to relax was actually quite convenient, haha.

TTianxiagangluanjiuchengjiuCame with a friend, and Peter at the front desk was a great help, he coordinated our rooms for us. The breakfast was also perfectly to my liking, even though I'm just a poached egg lover, haha. As long as there are poached eggs, I'm happy! Oh, and when I stayed here before, there was no singer during happy hour, but now there is live music! The atmosphere is really good, it would be even better if there was a bit more interaction!
