Northeast Penang Island Design Hotels

I highly recommend Noordin Mews! This hotel, a beautifully renovated shophouse, perfectly blends historical charm with modern amenities. The rooms are tastefully designed and incredibly comfortable. The service truly stands out. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the manager personally gave us detailed recommendations for local food and attractions. They even proactively helped us carry our luggage to the room. Every day, we received a thoughtful snack or gift representing Penang's culture in our room. What touched me the most was that on the night before my birthday, the hotel discreetly placed a small cake and a birthday message in my room. It was incredibly thoughtful! Overall, this experience far exceeded my expectations. If you're visiting Penang, staying here is definitely the right choice!

Overall, our stay at Park Royal was good and pleasant. The room was big, spacious, and very clean. We booked a Deluxe Sea Facing Room, but the sea view was not really visible. The beach was okay, but not suitable for swimming due to the jellyfish warning and unclear water. The haze also affected the view during our stay. Breakfast was okay, but the dining area can get quite crowded and cramped during peak hours. Overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant stay!

I chose this hotel after checking its design and guest reviews on Ctrip. First off, its location is super convenient for visiting many of Penang's attractions and trying local food. However, I didn't give the environment 5 stars because, unfortunately, during my entire 4-day, 3-night stay, there was street construction happening around the hotel. This made things a bit inconvenient and really affected the hotel's overall appearance! But the hotel's service definitely deserves praise. The housekeeping staff who cleaned our room daily was very diligent. A few times, we returned to the hotel while he was cleaning, and he politely stepped aside, waiting nearby until we left again! Also, a big shout-out to the F&B Manager, Eva Hoe. She provided exceptional service during both our breakfast experiences, enthusiastically recommending freshly prepared items that weren't on the buffet. She's also very pretty and speaks fluent Chinese, which is a definite 5-star point! The hotel's design is excellent, especially the clever packaging of the seven bathroom amenities, which collectively form an image of the hotel's exterior. Highly recommended!

SUCH a nice hotel. Was reticent about staying in such a historic building, but so grateful I decided to stick with it! Highly recommend if you're a big history nerd. Incredibly friendly staff, helpful for all inquiries. Arrived early to keep my luggage in storage while I explored the city, and brought it to my room as soon as it was ready for me to come in to. They do have security to verify your patronage every time you enter the grounds due to the number of visitors, but it was a lot less fussy than I expected. Delicious breakfast in the Crazy Rich Asian filming location, with complimentary a la carte options as well! Bikes available for rent during your stay as well; highly recommend. Though the location is quite central to Georgetown and close to everything, the immediate walk can get quite awkward and hot especially mid-day as it is mostly not sheltered and right off a highway. One thing to note is that the rooms get quite chilly, as you cannot adjust the temperature yourself.

Even though the house has an old-fashioned vibe, the facilities inside are excellent, especially the service, which made me feel very welcome. Albert Tan introduced me to all the hotspots in Penang – where to go and what to eat – which showed a level of enthusiasm I haven't experienced at other hotels. I later realized the hotel's location is fantastic, with many trendy spots nearby. It was a public holiday at the time, and due to the price, I only stayed one night. If the price is right, I would definitely choose this place again next time. Highly recommended!

Peranakan-styled boutique hotel: if you want character, charm and quietness, this is the place. Read a book by the pool, soak in the grandeur of the deco or just let your mind drift, you can do all these while taking in the delight of the quaint afternoon tea.  Location is excellent: you can walk for your food journey around the hotel or call a Grab for further sojourns.  The in-house restaurant appears to be very popular: will try it next round. Staff are helpful and attentive.  

Every year, I spend a few days at Hard Rock to relax. Currently, half of the hotel is under renovation, and our rooms on the west side were very quiet. The front desk staff were very friendly and communicated in English. I'd suggest having multilingual front desk staff to make communication easier for tourists. This time, I brought my elder family members along, and we booked 4 rooms. Everyone had great feedback, and we hope to stay at Hard Rock again next time. The rock band on the weekends was excellent as always. With the pool, the sunset, and the lively Batu Ferringhi beach, we had a very pleasant holiday at Hard Rock. We will definitely choose Hard Rock Hotel again next year. Many thanks to the hotel's management team for their excellent service.

Excellent! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the Blue House. The hotel's design and ambiance are simply beautiful. It felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being a guest in the home of someone with great taste and an appreciation for art. The front desk service was also very good – friendly and they spoke Chinese. Although breakfast was simple, it tasted great. As the last stop on our trip, it truly felt like a well-deserved treat.

A beautiful and peaceful hotel, perfect for taking a break and unwinding from a busy work routine. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, making the stay even more relaxing. The stunning beach view was definitely one of the highlights — waking up to such a beautiful view was truly refreshing. Overall, it was a wonderful place to relax, recharge, and escape from the stress of work.

Let's start with the pros: 1. The location is excellent, near the Blue House. The room also provides soda. 2. The room is very spacious, about 40 square meters or more, making it ideal for families with children. 3. The beds are large, two 1.8-meter beds. Now for the cons: 1. The bathroom has a very strong odor. We had to keep the bathroom door closed constantly, otherwise, the smell would drift out and make the whole room smell. 2. The water pressure in the shower is too low. It would be a struggle for women to wash their hair.
