Motel 6 Destin, FL

Not the best stay over ever had but not the worst either. Budget friendly

Room is pretty old, dark and not clean at all. The first room was water leaking with a lot of water dripping in late night. We have to move to second floor. Room on second floor did not have water dripping but it is old, dark, and have "old, wet" smell.

Definitely will not go back key card stopped working every day towels very limited had to switch rooms due to tv not working Roaches in first room..

It wasn’t bad but they had a lot of roaches , no pits or pans for the rooms with the stoves to cook. Coffee machine but not the pot , floors not clean bathroom not clean. Only thing good about the hotel is it’s located in the middle of everything!

We paid for a kitchenette but wonder why. There were no pots, pans, dishes, silverware...NOTHING! Also no towels, coffee, or TOILET PAPER. The cabinets especially the cabinet handles were grossly dirty. Then, we had to go to the office the first morning there because we got locked out of our room due to a (check-in error) but no one was there. We and several others waited a minimum of 20 minutes. While waiting for new keys, I asked why they offer an upgraded kitchenette when they have no kitchen basics. His response was "Did you get a stove top and full size refrigerator?" Me: "yes" Him: "well that's what you paid for." RUDE! What good is an over priced amenity you can't use. So be fore warned, you better not forget to pack your camping kitchen because according to THIS Hotel 6 employee, there are NEVER these items in any kitchenette. I informed him my husband travels for work and I travel frequently as well and this was a first for us. His response to that was "not in Florida isn't" Again, SO RUDE! Cabinets and cabinet handles were filthy as well as the refrigerator door. But again, nothing in the cabinets except a bunch of dead bugs. We were provided with a coffee maker, but no coffee pods. The bathroom was exceptionally disgusting with public hairs EVERYWHERE! The vanity was also very dirty. And of course, we had no towels or toilet paper either. Had both beds not been made, I would have assumed that room was never cleaned. I could never recommend this hotel.

Absolutely the DIRTIEST room I have ever stayed in. I could write a novel on how bad this place is but I'll try to keep it short. 1st room the freezer on fridge was completely frozen solid. Couldn't put anything in it and leaked all over floor. Asked to change rooms and after waiting 30 minutes got a new one which was worse. While waiting 3 other customers came and went trying to change rooms as the condition of their rooms was also unacceptable. NEW room SMELLED of urine and other unidentified scents. After unpacking I spilled a splash of juice on the floor and was appalled when I cleaned up with a wipe. The filth was disgusting. This room hadn't been mopped forever! Asked receptionist for a mop so we could clean it ourselves and he told us he didn't have one. After a pause he added they don't even give us one. 😮 Knowing it would ruin the towel we asked if should just use a towel to clean and he said I guess technically its okay. So we did. After photo attached. There was visible mold in the shower. The shower curtain rod was broken, sink faucet ready to fall off. Bedding stained. No ice available. This review comes from a couple who travel extensively and enjoy affordable simple rooms. We don't expect the extras. This motel however should be shut down by the health department.

My family was checked into a dirty hotel with other people’s private hairs in the bathtub. Then when I called the manager stating that I was not going to stay at the hotel and that I would like a refund on the room, he told me good luck with that and hung up in my face.

DO NOT STAY HERE. VERY VERY NASTY. VERY RUN DOWN. WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED HERE EXCEPT IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT AND EVERYTHING WAS FULL. WE HAD TO TAKE OUR THROW BLANKET AND LAY IT ON THE BED AND THEN COVER UP WITH OUR OTHER THROW. WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER MOTEL 6.
