Secrets Tides Punta Cana - Adults Only

This resort was an amazing experience!! It is so clean, beautiful and the staff is phenomenal. Our butler Jonathan always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He even decorated our room with rose petals to celebrate my birthday. And every time we went out to the beach, Francisco took excellent care of us! Jordi at the preferred pool bar was also phenomenal. The food was good too. We loved oceana for breakfast and tierra and el patio for dinner. The deep massage at the spa was one of the best massages I’ve ever had in my life too. I will definitely be coming back!!

Our vacation at the new Secrets Tides was fantastic. We actually came to Tides during their soft opening and loved it so much we came back with friends. They also loved it and we will come back again next year. Our Butler Gilbert was the best. He went out of his way every day to make sure we were all happy and had whatever we needed. He is def a 10! The resort is beautiful and our time there was excellent!

After my stepfather died I wanted to take my mother away to some place warm where she could relax and decompress. She needed to recharge her batteries after losing her spouse of 50 years. I looked around, reading Trip Advisor reviews religiously and checking prices. I decided on Secrets Tides because of all the 5* reviews and the fact that it was new. Unfortunately, my mother had let her passport lapse so we had to wait until her new one came which is why we did not book until the end of May. I was a bit worried about the timing as I did not want there to be rain all the time. As it happened it only rained on day and a few times at night. It was cloudy a few days. We arrived to a cold towel and a glass of champagne. Check-in only took a few moments and then a bellman took us to our room. The buildings are 3 storeys and have elevators. The room was a tropical view which meant it was at the back of the building overlooking the service road. All of the ground floor buildings are swim out rooms on both sides. Pool view was a bit more expensive. Ocean view and Preferred were again more expensive. Our rooms were well appointed. Two queen beds with a huge amount of pillows. a seating area, a dining area, a large tv. There was two benches at the end of each bed for our suitcase or there was a huge bench under the tv for suit cases and an opening underneath for shoes. There was a large closet with drawers. Hangers and pant hangers (should have more in the room). There were two bathrobes and two pairs of slippers. But it was so humid that we never used them. There was also a large umbrella and a laundry bag. There was also a steamer which I used to get some wrinkles out of clothes The washroom had a large walk in shower with dual rain head shower heads and a hand held shower head. There was a double sink vanity and a separate toilet room. there were lots of big fluffy white towels large enough to wrap around and face cloths and hand towels. The amenities included soap, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion, a comb, a shower cap, sewing kit and Q-tips and a nail file. In the preferred rooms they have a razor and tooth brush/tooth paste. Also there is a hair dryer and scale. I used the body lotion as hair conditioner but it would be nice if they had actual hair conditioner. Everything is well wired. When you enter your room, the lights turn on and it makes a noise. The lights also come on. There were no bracelets, just key cards. Which is nice. There is a preferred area and the normal area. We did not feel the need to upgrade and honestly every single member of staff was so helpful, we did not feel we missed out on anything by not having a butler. We were happy with everything. The beds were more than comfortable and it was quiet at night. The restaurants were excellent. The Market Cafe for breakfast and lunch has a lot of different choices to please everyone! My husband and I vacationed here in May after researching different resorts. The rooms were brand new and extremely well designed. The restaurants had incredible food (so if you don't enjoy a particular dish- just order a new one and be kind!) My favorite was the hibachi (make a reservation!) The beach was clean every single day and they took attention to getting rid of seaweed which I noticed when walking the beach was different than the other resorts. The staff was so intentional, every single time we finished a drink someone was asking if we wanted a new one. By far the best part of this trip was the staff was exceptionally joyful, kind, and attentive. Their constant smiles, positive words, and attention to detail was a breath of fresh air (please remember to tip them!) The resort as mentioned is brand new so it isn't at full capacity yet but that means no / bare minimum waits on the restaurants but I am sure it will get busier. Overall, it was a great vacation!

Beautiful resort. This is our second trip there since they opened earlier this year and we are planning our next trip there right now, for later this year. The staff is the friendliest we have ever experienced anywhere. The service is absolutely first class, especially when you do the preferred club. Our only suggestions, which are very minor, are that they need just a little bit livelier entertainment andfor them to have real juice available for drinks, not syrup. Miguel at the preferred club and Miguel the butler are the best ! Desire and Francisco, the beach servers, are wonderful. Christy at the preferred club and Andreina, the butler, both are very sweet. We would highly recommend Secrets Tides !

Secrets Tides is a beautiful resort that we would highly recommend. We stayed in a Preferred Club Ocean Front room overlooking the Preferred Club pool. Great view. The rooms have nice comfortable chairs on the balcony with thick seat and back cushions. The bed was comfortable and they added a pillow menu while we were there so we got firmer pillows which we like. Our room came with a butler and we were totally spoiled by Hedral who was very attentive and quick to satisfy our requests . He found us throughout the day to see if there was anything he could do for us and to just chat because he was very personable. He went above our expectations and made our anniversary a special all day affair. We hung out at the preferred Club close to our room on the rainy days enjoying Miguel and Jennifer who were tending bar. On sunny days, we hung out with Juan, David, Jonaton, Julienna and Danis at the Preferred Club Pool. They took very good care of us. The food grilled on the beach and the snacks brought around the pool daily were tasty and worth trying. We stayed for 10 nights so we were able to visit all of the restaurants for dinner. Our favorites were Portofino (ossobuco was delicious-had it twice), Tierra and El Patio. We pretty much had the skirt steaks at the restaurants because people said how tender they were and they did not disappoint. Seaside Grill has nice ambiance and delicious dishes, but the t-bone steak was a little tough. The service was great throughout the whole resort, maybe partially because the occupancy was between 25% and 43%. We did not find the resort boring. In fact we enjoyed relaxing while others participated in the daily activities like sipping and painting on the beach, yoga, water aerobics, painting hats etc. There was something for everyone rain or shine. We will definitely return to this resort.

Beautiful resort and amazing beach! Staff was great and our butler, Raynier was awesome! Food was good, we’ve had better but wasn’t a deal breaker!

My wife and I have been to many Luxury Caribbean All-Inclusive Resorts including other Secrets Resorts. This one however really stood out in a wonderful way. A simple way to know that this place was special was in the staff training. While we were there for 9 nights any time we had said thank you for any service big or small rendered, the response was always "its my pleasure". We definitely want to extend a specific heartfelt thank you to Jorge, our butler, who was just terrific and helped to take care of whatever needed attention to during our stay. He will be missed! We gave Jorge some suggestions to share with their management to make a few improvements none of which were ground shaking. We would say if you go to this resort and Jorge is available as butler ask for him! Since the hotel has been open for 5 months now I think one could say they are beyond a "soft opening". On a 1 to 10 I would rank the food an 8 out of 10 which was very good with 7 nice choices for restaurants. The resort was never crowded while we were there. Our stay in the "preferred junior suite with swim out" also was excellent. The beach and facilities were great. This resort is adults only and from the demographics we saw it was best targeted for an older audience. It is not big on onsite activities. But, if you want peace, quiet, great service and facilities you can't go wrong here. 5 stars for sure!
