Secrets Tides Punta Cana - Adults Only

My husband and I did a short honeymoon here after eloping, and the service was absolutely fantastic!! The people were all so friendly, we couldn’t believe it. The food and drink were good as well, especially for only being open for 4 months, we weren’t expecting this level of satisfaction. We upgraded to preferred and the butler we were assigned, Milciades, was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! He was always smiling, sent us a message every morning asking how we were and if we needed anything, and then would come and seek us out around the resort to see how we were doing and what we needed. I was truly floored by this level of attention, and his smile and constant positive attitude was contagious, it made our trip this much better. If we come back we will be requesting him!! The pools and beach were also incredible. This place exceeded all my expectations and we will for sure be back!

Overall the resort is a great place to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they have a sense of urgency unlike a lot of resorts that are on "island time." This resort has a few minor kinks to work out since it's less than 6 months in operation, but nothing too major. The preferred club is great for drinks and relaxing away from the rest of the resort. I would like to have seen different food options than what they served but the drinks were outstanding. The drink service at the front by Alberto was outstanding. The activities lead by Kaila were done very well. The entertainment staff as a whole was excellent. The butler service by Joel was excellent. And Ranphi is a great wine expert that can match the wines to the meals while at the resort.

I just returned from staying at Secrets Tides and I had an amazing time. This resort is beautiful and I loved the beach area as well. The staff at this resort was one of the best parts- they were all so kind, welcoming, having fun, and cared about our experience. I have to specifically shout out my butler, Jendry, who was so attentive and went above and beyond for me. He even decorated my room which was so fun. I also have to shout out Joselayne & Jordie- they were all amazing!! I can’t wait to come back!!

I lived every second , minute and day. I traveled alone to this facility and it was my first time . I had no complaints and even trying to see or look for an issue was never an option. I was delighted and very sad when I was leaving .

Stayed here from April 30 to May 7, 2024. Great say overall. Will only get better over the next 6 months. Biggest stand out was "David" at the Showtime bar! Outstanding bartender! Very polite and we mannered. Made our evenings at the resort. Ocarlyn of the entertainment team was always fun around the pool area. Had some great fun playing various games and spanish lessons. Great guy! Always on the move. Top restaurant for us was the Seaside Grill followed by El Patio. Least favorite being Portofino (poor menu) and we did not do Meraki. Breakfast at Market Cafe was great. 3 omelet stations. All restaurant Cameraros (waiters) need to slow down the meal pace a little bit. They were, unknowingly I'm sure, rushing you through your meal in an effort to give prompt service. That will become better with time and experience I think. They try hard. Rooms were new and nice. Room AC does not change the room temp no matter what you set it too. The thermostat may be just be a decorative piece. In saying this, the room was not too warm. Lol House keeping sporadic, different times each day, none two days. Drinks weren't consistent across the board. Most good. Some bars and bartenders were way better than others. Some bartenders took shortcuts (sugar reef). Ex. Ordered Baileys and ice blended. Bartender took blender jug with what turned out to be the leftovers of a dirty banana, poured Bailey's in and blended. Could easily taste banana. Another: Wife ordered a dirty banana and got a mudslide at the bar. Beach was beautiful. Very little sea grass during our stay. Loads of papalas and chairs. Not big beach people. Pools were very nice. Very little chair game. Probably due to 50-60% resort capacity. Nice a**osphere most of the time. Once the resort got a conference in there, approx 100 people. The place got really loud and obnoxious. They should inform you on booking if this is going to be the case. Dealt with this for last 2 nights.

When we arrived at Tides we were greeted and quickly shown to our rooms. The resort is absolutely beautiful. There were a few things that we found as issues. First and most importantly the outside flooring is slicker than what when wet. There aren’t enough bathrooms. When they get to full capacity this is going to be a problem. The food was pretty much like any other all inclusive, I didn’t find any of it exceptional, but Portifino’s Italian food was really not good. Drinks were inconsistent and lastly there are some pretty big language barriers. But nothing we couldn’t overcome and I’m sure Tides will continue to work on this. Our Butler Jorge was the game changer for us. He went over and beyond what we would have thought. He made sure to txt me each morning to see what plans we had for the day and if we needed anything. We had two birthdays, (not the reason we were there). Celebrating the birthdays was indeed an afterthought, but Jorge came to the rescue. He had their rooms decked out with balloons and flower petals spelling out their names with HBD. The surprise was nearly ruined since I missed it when the birthday girls slipped away without me seeing them go to their rooms. Luckily one was done and the other hadn’t been started yet, so Jorge waited to decorate the second room until I let him know the coast was clear. At one of our dinners he had flowers and tiaras with secondary head bands for the rest of the ladies. There was also cakes for both of them with sparkler candles. They were feeling pretty special thanks to Jorge. He made sure to catch up with us daily and personally see how things were going and if all our needs were met. Thanks for all your support Jorge! You made this trip very special, indeed. 😊❤️

We stayed at Secrets Tides from May 5-11, and it was nothing short of amazing! The food was wonderful each and every meal, the staff at the restaurants were great, the service was great, and the drinks were fabulous! The rooms were beautifully well thought of! From the design, to the lighting, all controlled with touch panels they were fabulous and relaxing. The pools were perfect! We enjoyed the preferred pool the most, but all of them each hold their own value! Each pool has a swim up bar and accompanying wait staff for them too! The grounds were stunning! From the tucked away seating areas, to the beautiful open air lobby, it was all breathtaking! The flora and fauna were well manicured and placed so purposefully it looked natural. The beach was by far our favorite we’ve been to! It was absolutely perfect! From the bronze sands, and the huge amount of palapa to choose from it was all perfect! The service we experienced was wonderful! Everyone is so nice and friendly and accommodating! There is a very small language barrier, but everyone’s learning as they go. Our favorite foods were the skirt steak at El Patio, everything at Terriera, and the teppanyaki table at Meraki was fabulous! If you like drinks that are more of a treat order a Dirty Monkey (rum, baileys, bananas, cream of coconut and chocolate)! My one and only complaint is the beds are a tad hard, but with time they’ll become softer and that’s okay with me! I can’t end this without mentioning a few people… our butler was Mercadito (Mercedes). He was such a joy! He surprised me with a birthday set up in our room, found me bananas to keep in our room, always checked up on us and was such a wonderful addition to our trip! (Ask for him if you can!!! You won’t regret it!) Julianna at the preferred pool took care of us all week! She was so fun to get to know and always kept the a**osphere a party! Last but most certainly not least was Mercedes the food concierge! She checked up on us every morning and such a wonderful person to speak with and get to know! She did a fabulous job and always had such a great energy to her! (She’s also from New York and speaks perfect English should you need some help ask for her!!) Can’t wait to return to this beautiful resort that we’ve found a home at!
