The Inn at 97 Winder

Overall the place was great. Friendly staff, great location! I would suggest different curtains rather than sheer as you’re super close to the stadium/ lights that shined through all night. Made it a little hard to sleep with the room being light. The breakfast was a little below average any hotel breakfast, nothing cooked like meats or eggs. But the fresh fruit and bagels were good to hold us off till lunch. Breakfast isn’t served till 9am, which is a little late in my opinion if you’re headed off early in the AM. Overall it was a good stay and a great location within walking distance to either 3 stadiums, and I would book again.

The hotel was beautiful. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a concert at the little Caesar arena and this hotel was in a prime location. I will definitely be going back.

Very unique property. Staff was very attentive and nice. Beds were comfy. Close to Comerica Park. Easy to walk. Remember there is no elevator, so pack lightly!

What an unexpected surprise. We were going to see Lionel Richie at Little Caesars arena and wanted to stay overnight to enjoy the evening. The hotel is a short walk to the arena. The rooms were large, clean and had everything we needed. Parking in the parking lot is also available for a fee. Definitely a great place to stay.

Would have been a 5 star review except I did not receive the room I booked. I book a room with 2 beds and there was a problem with that room I guess so they put us in a single bed room. We made it work but it ended up being a very uncomfortable nights sleep. I wish it would have been communicated ahead of time and I would have brought an air mattress or made other arrangements. Overall tho, beautiful property and Denise was very nice and helpful.

We had two rooms on the second floor with in suite bathrooms. We paid to park in their lot. The manor was built in 1800s and is decorated with period furnishings, walking distance to the sports venues and Little Caesar’s Arena plus many restaurants. We loved our stay and would return.

Property was clean, parking easy, close to all the DET sport venues, and staff was very friendly. The room could use actual darkening curtains, as the lights from outside were not blocked by the lace curtains. Also the ability to control the room temperature, or a fan. The room got very stuffy at night and the windows can not be opened. Something that is easily remedied would be Kleenex and hand soap in the bathroom. It’s the little things that would help if we were to stay again.

Room was large and spacious, decor was great for the historic theme. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was quite large as well. Parking is relatively cheap compared to other hotels in downtown Detroit. Only complaint would be the curtain choice in the room - east facing room with only lace curtains. Double check that you have your sleep mask if that will be a difficulty. Looking forward to an opportunity to return and stay longer so I can enjoy the public areas more.

Rooms were clean, staff was very helpful and soo friendly. Lots of avalable parking. Location was perfect! Close to downtown with the cozy feeling of a suburb
