The Brewster Inn

A stunningly restored, delightfully appointed historic property with all modern amenities, My only regret was that it was just one night over. This is a place to savor: The history and restoration are not to hurry by. A little out of the way for an interstate traveler, but worth the detour.

My husband & I stayed in the Hatherley Suite for 4 nights & we enjoyed it so much!! Mark & Tina the owners were just so nice & welcoming. They were always there to answer any questions that we had & to offer recommendations when we needed them!! The room was very nice & clean!! It had the bedroom area & then also a little living room area that we enjoyed!!! We would recommend this place to anyone coming to Maine for a visit!!! My friend that we were coming to see was also very impressed with the inn!!! They have the screened-in porch that we were able to use & we had a great time playing cards with our friend!!! Thanks again to Mark & Tina for being such great hosts!! We will stay here for sure when we come back again!!!!

Just spent a relaxing time at the Brewster Inn in Dexter. The hosts, Mark and Tina, always did their best to provide a relaxing and pleasant time at the Inn. Mark was very helpful about information about local area highlights and best directions to those. The Inn is well done and historical, and Mark knows everything about its history. All the rooms are unique. The morning breakfast very very good and the way they other guests interact at breakfast was fun and informative. You can not go wrong with the Dexter Inn - you will enjoy your stay!

My husband and I have stayed here several times over the years and it just gets better. We have a few more trips planned here for 2026. The location is wonderful as it is not too far from many locations. The Inn and proprietors, Mark and Tina, make this a very memorable stay for anyone. The breakfasts that are served every morning are spectacular. And when booking with them directly, be sure to check the other specials at booking. I often get a food item and beer package. Tina makes up a great Charcuterie Board and Mark does a great beer selection. We always have a wonderful time here and know we will get a great night sleep in the comfortable beds. The rooms are very spacious and the honeymoon suite has a spectacular spa jet tub. We look forward to our future visits in 2026. Camilla and Seth H. The hosts went out of their way to help my wife at the last minute after another reservation fell through. They saved the day. My wife had a great weekend visiting our granddaughter. The room was clean and comfortable and she felt very safe. Mark and Tina could not have been any kinder or more helpful. We are looking forward to staying there again this summer. Thank you very much for helping us on such short notice.

We stayed at the Brewster in The Hatherly room for our honeymoon and it was the perfect way to unwind after the stress of wedding planning! The perfect cozy escape!

July 2025 We were visiting family & looking for a place to stay. We found the Brewster Inn in Dexter online & decided to give it a try. We had never stayed in a Bed & Breakfast before & didn't really know what to expect. Well it turns out it was just wonderful thanks to 2 fabulous hosts & owners, Tina & Mark. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. It was very spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious offering something different every morning. Coffee & tea was available all day. Not only were Tina & Mark welcoming & provided the perfect home away from home, they also offered many ideas & info of things to do. It was a lovely place to stay and the hosts were just as lovely. We had a wonderful stay. My husband and I were there on a trip to celebrate our anniversary and stayed in the honeymoon suite. The room was beautiful and there was a great soaking tub to relax in after a nice hike. The food was fantastic, and we were provided with nice places to visit in the area. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway.

I would give the Inn 100 stars if possible! My husband and I have traveled all over the world, and this Inn is the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Their dedication to that aspect was apparent the first time we walked through the door. We selected the Honeymoon Suite because we liked the extra space it offered. It was so comfortable that we almost hated to leave to go exploring each day. The breakfasts each day were perfect. Tina and Mark have a nice variety of food each morning, alternating between a savory and a sweet main dish. They are both so warm and gracious. We enjoyed talking to them every day. It was a huge joy to stay in their Inn!
