Hampton by Hilton Doha Old Town

It was quite a coincidence – our Doha trip, originally planned for a few days of sightseeing, turned into an extended stay due to the Middle East conflict. This hotel is pretty much your typical business express hotel. The lobby is on the smaller side, but the location is excellent. One side faces the sea, and many rooms offer views of the Doha Cruise Terminal, which is genuinely lovely. The hotel restaurant is fairly standard, only serving traditional Islamic cuisine, which of course, also had to do with it being Ramadan in March. The hotel is very close to the National Museum of Qatar, which has a metro station, making it super convenient to get to various attractions. It's about a 15-minute drive from the city center's Qatar Central Mall.

Check-in was easy and the stay was pleasant. The room was clean and odor-free, and housekeeping was provided even for consecutive stays. There were also Western breakfast options available for Chinese guests.

The room was a bit small, and the bathroom had black mold. The service wasn't great either. On our second morning, we had to queue for breakfast outside the door for about 15 minutes because the breakfast area was too small. However, the hotel's location is excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk to the National Museum, and the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif are also within easy walking distance. I also discovered a Chinese restaurant called 'Dragon Restaurant' about 100 meters across from the hotel. The food there was delicious, so we ended up having dinner there two nights in a row, although it was a bit pricey (a meat and a vegetable dish cost over 200 RMB). I saw a lot of people eating hot pot there, but I didn't check the prices for that. I hope this information is helpful for future travelers.

The room was spotless. The surroundings were clean, and the check-in staff were very friendly and helpful with our requests. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. It's also very close to the New Museum, only a 5-minute walk away. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I visit.
