Our room # 312 had many concrete sloping beams facing downwards. One such beam was above my side of the bed and when I got up from the bed, I hit my head very hard on the beam — this happened thrice to me & once to my wife. I had a severe headache for 2 days out of the 3 days we stayed in the hotel. When we complained to the hotel owner / manager, she said that I was the first one to make such a complaint & I should not get up from the bed the way I do. She was very rude & did not take kindly to my constructive criticism & my suggestion to put a permanent soft padding at the bottom of the beam to prevent a nasty injury like mine to future guests in this particular room.

We got exactly what we were hoping for. A well equipped, elegant, clean and quiet hotel with a nice big room with a nice view and friendly service all around. Absolutely worth the money.

Situado a unos 20km de Düsseldorf y 28 de Colonia, en un lugar muy tranquilo, pegado a una antigua ciudad medieval. Habitaciones muy cómodas y bien equipadas. Desayuno muy completo y restaurante de calidad. El sitio perfecto para descansar. Dispone de una sala Fitness y baño turco. Lo único es que las habitaciones están divididos en dos edificios separados por la calle. Así que estando del otro lado, no pude disfrutar del Hammam. Espero pode volver, me ha encantado. Pero antes pregúntate por saber si van a celebrar una boda, menos mal que tenia trabajo en la habitación, sino no hubiera podido dormir!

Très bel hôtel au bord de l’espace d’expansion du Rhin en cas de crue. En temps normal, on ne voit donc pas le fleuve à moins de monter sur une digue mais l’eau pourrait arriver jusqu’à 10 m de l’hôtel lors d’une forte crue. Pas grand risque de se faire inonder cependant, tout le village est là depuis plusieurs siècles et les aménagements des abords montrent nettement que la gestion du risque de crue a été bien pensé et géré. Les chambres sont parfaites de même que le personnel, très accueillant.
