I feel the new owners (Opul) have taken over and made minor superficial improvements such as new carpet and a new bed. Despite that the room was a roasting hot box with no room specific temp control. Opening the window only permitted noise from the adjacent site to enter all night so ended up with no sleep. The breakfast wasn't awful wasn't amazing. To be fair. The price reflected the quality but I doubt id stay again.

Whilst the hotel was clean and the room comfortable, there are so many things that could be improved. It feels very sanitised and lacking in warmth and atmosphere. They could do with some light music at breakfast - which was very basic with weak coffee. The word 'boutique' is a bit of a bum steer. There's nothing boutique about the hotel.

Perfect position on promenade. Our room was superior with great view6 opposite statue of Beegees & Tower of Refuge- both iconic landmarks. Two minute walk from M&S & shopping centre of Strand Street- excellent value & super friendly staff & top quality service - look no further!

Very excited about our first visit to the Isle of Man. The hotel was in a very good position, right on the seafront. Check in wasn’t great, we seemed to be dismissed as soon as we had been given our key, and not much in the way of instructions. Sorry we didn’t get your name, but he needs front of house customer service training. Rooms large and comfortable. The real issue was the noise from the night club behind the hotel, kept awake till 2.30am, and the staff did nothing about it. House keeping wasn’t great, had to constantly ask for top up on tea, coffee, towels etc. we came across Venus on our last morning and she was lovely. And she said if we had told a member of staff about the noise, they would have moved us, but we did Complain and nothing was done, all a member of staff said to us was that the night club was on its last night and was closing, only to have the same noise that next night. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice, but changed each morning from buffet to ordering breakfast. Please bear in mind that they are going to be renovating the hotel straight after the TT has finished. Would I stay again, probably not.

This hotel recalls a genteel time when you strolled the Promenade to enjoy the beachfront. Like the Isle of Man in general, it’s a bit faded now but still lovely. Our two-room suite was spacious if sparsely furnished, yet comfy. The creaking hallways are a labyrinth. The manager on duty, Tom, was a gracious host. The hotel is an easy walk to the ferry terminal.

It is great staying here. I felt safe here. The staff are friendly. You meet people here at breakfast like American people. I had my own en-suite room and the room was warm and the bed comfortable. They are changing the beds today. They bring fresh towels when you want them. I liked seeing the birds and sea from my window and people watching. I thought this hotel was quiet and great for shops and transport. But best of all were the staff. Thank you Andrew.

Way too much noise from pub next door.We visited the island to attend a funeral.Unfortunately the whole party of eight had two nights of disturbed sleep. The noise went on until 3 in the morning. It was a pity because the staff were welcoming and the rooms reasonably priced and very clean.

Room are immaculate and the bar service couldn't be faulted but a recent staff change made me feel very uncomfortable as I felt like I was being watched at the bar and felt like I wasn't welcomed by other staff so went else where before I decided to sleep.

beds are very big and the rooms are so spacious they feel empty, I attend this bar and hotel every so often, but the staff recently chnaged and now they glare at customers and continually stomp past and huff at you whilst you order with the bar staff, issues with professionalism whilst customers are present is very embrassing for the business, bar staff politely apologised however I still felt very awkward and unwelcome by other members of staff
