I have been staying in the Comis hotel over the last couple of weeks whilst on business. Having previously stayed in Douglas, I fancied a change and decided to try the Comis. Firstly, the hotel is very good value considering you do have the use of the gym and pool, if you choose. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and more than happy to help, I found this the case from reception to the restaurants. The bed rooms are a really good size and have a good size bed, which is comfortable. The usual facilities are there, tea, coffee, fridge, safe etc. Bathroom is very good as there is a bath as well as shower and a towel rail which is very handy. Toiletries are Elemis. The normal wear and tear is evident as is the case with any hotel. There is no air con in the room but there is a heating controller. The only thing missing is an iron and ironing board, which I was used to having in other hotels. They are obviously available from reception on request. I have ate in the restaurant and tried several dishes from the gluten free options and the quality was very good indeed. There is no gluten free beer on the menu, which is disappointing and some availability issues on cordials during my stay. The wine list is good and there is plenty of choice. The breakfast is run of the mill from the buffet with the usual hot and cold options available. I used the gym and the pool, the former is very busy at peak times and the pool is realtively quiet. Overall this is a very good hotel indeed and I look forward to continuing visits to the Comis Hotel.
