Stayed as part of a group. Single room on 4th floor was fine. There is a small lift to help get up there with luggage but after that the stairs were fine (once you find your best way down as there are many routes!) My room had plenty of space but was at the back so didn't have a sea view . The bed was foam not sprung but still comfortable enough. Tea, coffee, milk etc supplied plus hairdryer and small bottles of body wash and shampoo. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much bother! Although not gourmet, the food was fine. It is self service (except the main dish) although plenty of staff on hand if any help needed. Three courses each night with a carvery meat each night and two other options. Vegetarian option wasn't always available but if requested in advance, if was ready each evening. Breakfasts were great with hot and cold options. As the hotel seems to cater mainly for groups, each group has a time to go to dinner and breakfast, which helps the queues. The dining room has views over the promenade to the sea. There are bus stops nearby (bus and horse tram!) and the town is close enough to walk to. We didn't have to park as we used public transport but was told there is a parking permit system that the hotel can advise you on and there always seemed to be some space along the prom. We used the buses and trams all over the island and they were great - especially with the Go Card which can include the steam trains and trams.
