Sea Breeze Guest House

Really basic guest house with small rooms and even smaller TVs. The rooms are clean, but that’s the only positive. Very small, no amenities, the walls/ceilings are paper thin and you can hear everything that is happening in the building and next door. Hallway lights also don’t work half the time. Only one socket per room and it’s in an awkward place (not close to bed or mirror) . Sinks are also tiny with a shelf directly above which make them difficult to access. Breakfast options are very poor - cereal or toast and you can’t even help yourself to it. Location is ok, just off the promenade.

Fantastic little B&B in a great spot for Douglas front and town. Lesley, the lady running it, was fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble and she even made us all a packed breakfast on our last day, as we were leaving early to catch the ferry. The bedrooms and the dining room were immaculate and the fridge was well stocked for breakfast. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back. Thanks Lesley 😊

If like me you don't like paying lots for accommodation, when not on holiday, then this could be a place for you to stay, as I did for 3 nights. I was met by a friendly, but unfortunate staff member, but the room was tiny although I wasn't expecting an en suite room, I was grateful for it. However the room had cobb webbs everywhere and I had to go out at night (as the only shop open late was Tesco until 11pm to buy headphones in order to listen to music) due to a noisy female above chatting loudly on her phone and walking around back and forth like an elephant at night, also a creaky bed. I wouldn't stay again, but I have stayed in worse, so not as bad.

I stayed at Sea Breeze for a week and found the guesthouse relatively easy to find just behind Douglas promenade. The guesthouse is fairly small with a pleasant Dining Room where a Continental breakfast was provided, Delia, the hostess informed me that due to staff shortage, she couldn't be there to provide a hot breakfast, but I was more than happy with the Continental option of toast, croissants, cereals, juice, cheese and ham, yogurts and tea and coffee, for which it was expected that guests would help themselves. My room was clean and tidy, towels changed regularly and the bed was very comfortable. The only snag was that the WiFi was not working, or there was a problem getting it to work. I found my own solutions. Otherwise, it's a good, budget hotel.
